Peyton Manning a doper?

Yep, that would seem to do it, consider the story is single sourced to Mr. Sly:

Liam Collins, a British hurdler, went undercover and spoke with Charlie Sly, an Austin, Texas-based pharmacist who worked at the Guyer Institute, the Indiana-based anti-aging clinic in 2011. Sly allegedly names Manning and other high-profile athletes as having received HGH from the clinic.

However, Sly backtracks in a subsequent statement to Al Jazeera, saying Collins secretly recorded his conversations without his knowledge or consent.

“The statements on any recordings or communications that Al Jazeera plans to air are absolutely false and incorrect,” Sly said. “To be clear, I am recanting any such statements and there is no truth to any statement of mine that Al Jazeera plans to air. Under no circumstances should any of those recordings, statements or communications be aired.”

Sly is probably just trying not to get sued at this point. however, PM seems to be a stand up dude.

mother****er, i'm spending my time off defending a concussionball player. so be it. he does a lot for a local children's hospital, and the other one saved my life when i was two weeks old.

What is incongruous between doing selfless charity work and taking PED's to overcome an injury? I'm not blasting Peyton for doing it just for getting caught and lying about it.

Also as a Gator alumnus I like having fun at his expense. 0-4 vs Florida!

i suppose we'll find out one way or another. people love to grant fame to someone and then use that to tear them down for their personal failings. either way, props to him for his donations to help sick / injured kids.

ok, enough sportsball. i'll watch the Super Bowl for the pizza and beer, and that's it.

Well if Al Jeezera says it, it must be true. Just ignore the fact that their only source for the story has recanted.

Yep.....Hard to take an "alleged dealer" claim seriously especially coming from the Huffington Post and Al Jazeerah.

A fair reason. The only time I would watch baseball is for the beer, hotdogs and the camaraderie with my friends sitting beside me in the stadium.

What we know is that Peyton Manning's wife ordered hgh, this is a fact. Peyton didn't deny this, all he said is that him and his wife are separate and "that's her business."

Pure BS. Manning is going done the same road as Lance Armstrong, Roger Clemens, and Andy Pettite. The fact that he hired a known con man in Ari Fleischer is pretty damning.

Manning should be crucified and vilified. Unfortunately the media is pro Manning. They won't attack him like they did Tom Brady, who was innocent of any wrongdoing.

But Peyton Manning wasn't the only one named.. Taylor Teagarden , with lackluster baseball career being in the report (on tape admitting to it).

two men hired by Manning’s lawyers visited the parents of the documentary’s key witness. Both men wore black overcoats and jeans and, according to a 911 call from the house that evening, one initially said he was a law enforcement officer but didn’t have a badge.

The story Sly said he made up contained at least a bit of truth, though: The Guyer Institute did ship medication to Ashley Manning, Fleischer confirmed. Citing Ashley’s right to privacy, Fleischer declined to specify whether the medication was human growth hormone, which is banned by professional sports leagues and only legal to prescribe in America for a few specific conditions, such as growth hormone deficiency, HIV wasting syndrome and short bowel syndrome.

So essentially Peyton Manning hired a couple of goons to intimidate Charlie Sly's parents.

Wow, I wonder how the boisterous Manning supporters feel about this. Head in the sand I assume.

Cough, cough, cell phone, cough. cough.

You think that there might be terrorism links?

Definitely, there has been chatter about Manning conspiring with a man only known as Papa John. Seems pretty shady to me.

But great pizza...

He probably did dope. I personally don't care, dude broke his neck and without the dope I doubt he would have been able to come back. Football generally puts down these stories and mitigates them because doping is widespread in the NFL. If you want to take down Manning you have to take down many others.
