best trade?top 10?

The very best trade is the one the Warriors didn't make that would have sent several players including Klay Thompson to Minnesota to acquire Kevin Love.

The Rockets gave up mostly spare parts and a lottery-protected first-round pick for Ty Lawson, which gives the Rockets the distributor they need. Harden led the team in assists last year, which seems odd considering he's a 27-points-per-game scorer.

The Celtics also got David Lee from the Warriors for basically nothing (Gerald Wallace played 286 minutes last year and Chris Baab played half that). It was a contract dump that gives Boston a guy who might be on the downside of his career but gives them a solid frontcourt presence.

Also, the Hawks got Tiago Splitter from San Antonio for a 2nd-rounder. He got squeezed out in San Antonio but could do well with expanded minutes in the East.
