Patrick Kane Reportedly Under Police Investigation: RAPE

Oh God I hope its not true.:roll: Kane is my favorite NHL player.
 
When you think top 5 players in NHL, at the very LEAST he has to be a serious consideration.
 
Looks like the Blackhawks may have gotten rid of the wrong Patrick.

Let's hope, whatever the result, the police and courts handle their investigation faster than with Voynov and the Kings. It will also be interesting to see if the NHL indefinitely suspends a league star, if he's charged, like they did with Voynov.
 
Right now the only thing known for sure is the police are investigating an incident that happened in Kane's house and a woman was treated at a local facility, including the use of the poorly named "rape kit". Speculating beyond that at this time is probably not the best way to go.
 
Seems there has been something off about Kane. This is not his first incident.

Heya Pos. :2wave: They found out who the girl was. Its being reported that she is not the type to make something up or is out for money. She did go to the hospital for testing. This sucks for the Hawks.


Amidst Rape Allegations, EA Sports Removes Patrick Kane From NHL 16 Cover.....

While the investigation into rape allegations concerning Patrick Kane continues, EA Sports decided to remove Kane from the NHL 16 cover and any promotions.

EA Sports gave a statement via Twitter:

“In light of the ongoing investigation involving Patrick Kane, he will no longer be a spokesperson for the launch of EA SPORTS NHL 16. He will not appear on the EA SPORTS NHL 16 cover nor participate in other EA SPORTS NHL 16 promotional activities.”....snip~

The grand jury hearing was postponed "about 2 weeks".
 
And this whole thing has gotten surreal: Patrick Kane accuser's lawyer says evidence left on woman's mother's doorstep

The lawyer for a woman alleging she was sexually assaulted by Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane said Wednesday that an empty evidence bag was improperly left in the doorway of the woman's mother's home.

Thomas Eoannou said the bag at one point contained the rape kit used when the woman reported that she had been assaulted.

"Something seriously has gone amiss," Eoannou said.

Eoannou said the mother made the bizarre discovery when she came home from work for lunch on Tuesday afternoon. He said the bag is authentic, labeled with personal identifying information for the woman, details on where the rape kit was used and the initials of the nurses who administered the kit.

"I have never seen an evidence bag outside of a police lab, a prosecutor's office or a court room, let alone find one in a doorway of a rape victim's mother's home," he said.

And even weirder: Frank Sedita, prosecutor in Patrick Kane case, says accuser's mom lied about bag

Sedita said the mother denied ever taking possession of the bag. He said he thought the questions about evidence handling were odd when Eoannou raised them because rape kits are stored in boxes, not bags. At his news conference, Sedita showed reporters surveillance video of the rape kit being stored in an evidence room.

"It's a bizarre hoax," Sedita said. "And it's a dog and pony show."

On Thursday, the woman's mother referred to a statement the family released to reporters that said they were disappointed the attorney was withdrawing.

"We have every intention of pursuing this case to a just conclusion," the family's statement said. "It must be emphasized that there exists no evidence or allegation that the accuser herself had any knowledge of the evidence bag until it was brought to Mr. Eoannou's office."

Hamburg, New York, police chief Gregory Wickett said Friday that an officer who went to the mother's home the day she went to the hospital saw the bag but didn't take it, instead putting the accuser's top in his own bag.

This whole thing of finding the rape evidence bag on the mother's front door was so bizarre. But now reading that they gave the mother the bag in order to retrieve the girl's top she wore that nite makes sense.

But for the mother now to deny getting the bag is getting weirder. Am beginning to really believe Kane is innocent and just ran into a dysfunctional family who thought they won the lottery.

Well, from some reporting herein Chicago, apparently the friend of the accused who was also at Kane's house at the time is prepared to testify for the defense, which makes the case even sketchier.

Reports from the Tribune today suggest that the prosecutor is debating on whether to even bring it to a grand jury or not.

Either way, if the Hawks get value in a trade, Kane might be gone. John McDonough - the team President- is reportedly pissed at the incident.

On August 9, 2009, Kane and his cousin, James M. Kane, were arrested in Buffalo. According to a police report, Kane was apprehended around 5:00 a.m. after allegedly punching cab driver Jan Radecki when he claimed to not have proper change for their trip fare. Kane and his cousin's cab fare came out to be $14.80, and they gave him $15.00.[25]

Kane was charged with second-degree robbery, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and theft of services. He pled not guilty. On August 17, Kane apologized for the distress he caused, saying he had been "at the wrong place at the wrong time," and mentioned his family, the Chicago Blackhawks organization, and their fan base—but not Radecki.[26] Kane and his cousin appeared before a grand jury on August 19.[27] While they were cleared of any felony charges, the two were still indicted on less severe misdemeanor assault, theft and harassment charges.[27] Kane and his cousin reiterated their not guilty pleas when appearing in court the next day. On August 27, Kane and cousin pled guilty to noncriminal disorderly conduct charges, and were both given conditional discharges, avoiding any penalties if they stayed out of trouble for a year, and also ordered to apologize to Radecki.[28]'

The guy quite possibly punched a taxi driver for not having the proper change? At the very least, he clearly made a big stink about it. What a whack job. Plus, he is obviously an idiot as he was a very public figure even then and he does something as stupid as that? So he IS an idiot with a bad temper. Bad combination.

Did he rape this woman? No idea. But if his track record is any indication, I would not doubt it for a minute.

We shall see.
