SEC still dominating with 8 of the top 25. SEC East still the weak little brother with only two of those eight, but at least Georgia is the top Dawg...for now.

worried about my Mizzou tigers this year

won the east last two years....but so many issues, and not a lot of answers from the spring

hoping Pinkel has another rabbit up his sleeve

idk about this year but georgia's recruiting class looks like they'll take over the east soon

incredibly, there's rumors florida may leave the conference due to feeling they can't compete with all the cheating in sec

According to the "way too early SEC predictions," one possibility is Georgia winning the East and perhaps face Alabama in the SEC championship (meaning, probably Alabama with another SEC title.) The issue is Georgia does get to play Alabama at home, but has to travel to Tennessee and Auburn. Tennessee is the dark horse for 2015 (24/7 Sports and The Bleacher Report,) and working on a 2016 run at the SEC East. Auburn is the dark horse for the SEC West assuming they get past an away game at Texas A&M. From my chair we are looking at a 2015 bloodbath where we may have a couple of 2 loss teams playing in the SEC title game. Stranger things have happened.

As for Florida shopping leaving the SEC due to cheating. It is doubtful that another conference will beat or even match the benefits to playing in the SEC, and I would argue Florida's hands are just as dirty as the rest of the conference if not more so. Going to the ACC would be a mistake, and considering the Big 12 (all of 10 teams at the moment) or trying as an Independent would be even worse.

Yeah this is what i don't like about the bloated conferences, such unequal scheduling. Ten teams is about right

Florida being along with vanderbilt by far the most respectable academics in the sec, it is highly unlikely they would allow a "saint nick" or ole miss type situation with the head coach slipping fat envelopes to players and immediately telling parents of recruits "i can get your kid in the nfl." Then again, north carolina was just busted in a huge academic scandal...Bottom line, florida could go to the texas conference, stabilize the situation there and have a better chance of winning every year.

Don't get me wrong, i find it far more likely that conference will just implode instead of grabbing a major program (they're seriously trying though)

These posts about Florida leaving the SEC for membership in a lesser conference should be in the Conspiracy Theory forum. It will never happen.

I had given them up for lost until Pinkel showed... somehow he manages to find enough talent to compete against teams the teams that dominate the 4 and 5 star recruits. It will be interesting to see if couple tiger alums, Maclin and Morse can fill some big holes for KC Chiefs this year.

As a Mizzou alum, I hadn't paid much attention the last few years to Ohio State... and haven't looked at who's coming back for them.... but the talent they had last year was incredible. But the real surprises for me have TCU and Baylor.

UGA will have an excellent team this year but not an excellent schedule. The defense is going to be fine and special teams will be improved. Georgia's question mark will be receivers. They should be fine but Georgia has little depth at wide receiver, no pun intended.

Florida isn't going anywhere. They've just had a few bad years. No way Florida would leave the SEC. The loss of pride for leaving the SEC, the loss of big money would stop them not even mentioning that it wouldn't help recruiting.

Exactly what kind of cheating is Florida complaining about anyway?

Vandy, yes. Florida and UGA are almost identical academically.

Then again, north carolina was just busted in a huge academic scandal...Bottom line, florida could go to the texas conference, stabilize the situation there and have a better chance of winning every year.

UNC and FSU are under investigation at the present. Does anyone think they'll skate? :lamo I don't.

I can't see Florida going anywhere. Florida needs to stop whining, pull up its big girl pants, and gut it out.

Don't get me wrong, i find it far more likely that conference will just implode instead of grabbing a major program (they're seriously trying though)

I'm with you. Conferences are getting too big and every damn bit of it is about mo money, mo money.

as a umich fan i loathe the addition of rutgers and maryland to the schedule every year, at expense of 100 year rivalries

the only reason texas conference didn't implode immediately when nebraska, colorado, missouri, a&m all bailed is oklahoma is being coerced into staying by the politicians who demand ok state finds a stable conference too. But if the conference they're in now remains disrespected and unstable, or there's signs the longhorn network won't be extended (very possible), even those politicians may relent so that both schools aren't screwed. The texas AD is also under tremendous pressure by the fans there to find a better schedule, despite the $ from the network (which won't last). Their attendance is way down and they're losing recruits who used to be a lock

they may add some teams with 0 football history like ucf or cinncy, but that's very much a stopgap before the bleeding becomes unbearable, a lot like big east went thru, and will only piss their customers off more

I'll bet Michigan will be up there by years end.

the o line and running backs still scare me, but it can only improve. Ruddock and a few other grad transfers and hopefully a healthy peppers, and obviously a competent coach, might just give them a chance in every game.

i think he and his coaches do more with 2 & 3 star players than most

he has picked up i think three 5 star players in last 10 years.....

and now in the SEC where it seems even Vandy gets great recruits....just getting the mid level players may not be enough anymore

they have turned out a number of good pros.....a lot of them seem to have off the field issues though

looking at their schedule, i am hoping 9-2.....but not sure if that is realistic or just the dreams of a fan

I hate CF polls. But, I am glad football is only a few short weeks away.

Let the games begin!

Georgia's biggest question mark going into the season is can they beat Alabama at home on October 3?

We will burn that bridge when we get to it. ;)

I noticed you didn't post a link to your rumor.

I'm still wondering who will be our starting quarterback...Braxton Miller, J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones.
