Bruno Mars killed it last night. Best half time superbowl show to date imho.

I really could have done without the Red Hot Chilli Peppers though. Thought they kinda messed up the whole vibe Bruno had brought.

I liked the James Brown moves; that is not easy to pull off. I thought the RHCP were actually pretty awesome.

Also, the Stones tore it up a couple years ago.

I loved Bruno! I think he's a great performer and amazing singer.

Lol! Are you kidding me? The Chili Peppers were the best part of that lame show. I was falling asleep except for the 30 seconds that the Chili Peppers were on. "What I got, you got to give it to your mama!" :2razz:

I'm just glad he didn't sing Gorillas, that's the one song I don't like from him.


In his defense he did have a show stopping, light blowing performance to follow up from last year. :mrgreen:

Your really trying to compare Bruno mars to a hall of fame rock n roll band like the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Bruno mars's music sounds like its tailor made for young teenage girls, his music sounds "fruity"" and weak.

For 14 year old girl music it was ok. Chili Peppers should have been the headliner though.

I think the phrase: "he has that American Idol contestant look and sound" implies, for most people, that he's talent-less.

If that's not what you meant then fine, but others here have suggested the same kinda thought process.

I don't think that it's much of a stretch to think that. He has that "pop" sound to his music.
 
A lot of the catchy, sing-along songs that have come out in the last few years have been Bruno Mars songs. Kid's talented, and for the most part, has some pretty good songs. Hate that "sex takes me to paradise" song - so annoying. But as much as I hate that one or Grenade, I love Just The Way You Are.
