Big Ten Schools bowl record?

So far the Big 10 is 1-4 this bowl season and Michigan St. is trailing Stanford 17-14 at halftime. They only have one more bowl game, the Orange, with Ohio St. playing Clemson.

1-4? ouch

Actually it's 1-6 if you count Rutgers and Maryland who join the "Big 10" next year.

Well I have to say I called it pretty good. I had a feeling the Big 10 would get smoked in the bowls this year.

Said this before and I'll say it again so you actually drop this asinine theory.

You can't add Rutgers and Maryland to the Big Ten's bowl record this year. Since they are in the American Conference and ACC they are playing in bowl games that aren't Big Ten spots, so they aren't playing typical Big Ten opponents.

If Rutgers or Maryland would have been in the Big Ten this year they would have been playing Bowling Green at the Little Caesars bowl and some other unknown bowl as the Big Ten would have filled all it's slots. That means Maryland wouldn't have played Marshall or Rutgers playing ND.

Big 10 is 2-4 with Ohio State left to play. Not saying Ohio State will win, but if they do. I'll take a 3-4 Bowl record this year because that will mean a Rose Bowl win, Orange Bowl win, and a Gator Bowl win. 3 games that are New Year or big wins. I could careless if Iowa lost to LSU, Wisconsin lost to South Carolina. Those were good SEC teams playing middle of the pack Big Ten teams. LSU and South Carolina had legitimate shots at a run for a National Championship. But Iowa and Wisconsin made a run at those teams as well. Those games were very close. So they weren't "bad" loses.

Michigan and Minnesota on the other hand were bad games played by bad teams. I expected to lose those games.

Weird fluke. K-State lost to a 1-AA team at the beginning of the season.

I was betting smart money.

And Michigan nearly lost to Akron AND Connecticut, while later scoring 41 on OSU, losing by 1 on a 2 pt. conversion attempt.

There is no betting "smart money" on Michigan anymore.

Wisconsin will probably lose. Michigan State vs Standford will be a good game. Running team vs a running defense. Ohio State will lose.

Not to toot my own horn.. but looks like I was 100% on my calls. Damn, I should have put money down. ;)

Badger fan here too. I think we matchup well with SC. It depends on if Clowney wants to give himself a big game of film for his draft, or protect his health for combines. If you run at Clowney, he isn't great, it's when you run away he will chase you down. Now our QB needs to play a hell of a lot better for us to win, but should be a fun matchup. I was worried we'd get Missouri with their 6'5" receivers.
How'd that work out for you? lol

When was the last time Ohio State lost 2 straight?

They could have possibly lost three straight if Michigan's coach had coached more like an major college coach rather than a high school coach. Great game but Clemson was the better team last night.

We ran just fine. Nearly 300 yards rushing. Problem was we quit running it when we got in scoring position. I could have sworn Bielema was coaching us again.

Yeah, but, what was the final score?
