I'd just like to express my pride at having Coach Q pick up a $25k fine for a gesture that is common of softball fields all over the city.
You're a real Chicagoan now, Q!
See if you can spot the violation:
Coach Joel Quenneville goes off on refs Chicago Blackhawks vs St. Louis Blues 4/17/14 NHL Hockey. - YouTube
That deserves a fine and suspension.
I see nothing wrong with a coach encouraging the referees to grow a pair and call penalties against a home team mugging the opposition even if it is in overtime.
It’s just funny — I never do that, I haven’t done that, but unfortunately I’ve done it twice in the last little bit here.
McKinnon for the Avs is a beast!
Stupidest and most ill-timed penalty I've seen in years. And it cost them the season, IMO.Yeah, the Seabrook hit was bad. That cost them the game. The team just doesn't have the legs late in games this year. There were plenty of stupid penalties too. Bickell and Versteeg both had stupid penalties.
I wonder how long Backes will be out. He was definitely concussed. That may play into how many games Seabrook misses. I am hoping only one or two, but it may be more. He didn't have the puck.

It very well may have. Brookbank is no Seabrook. They have been down before and not given up. Let's hope they can turn it around.
Tough to get over two come-from-ahead o/t losses like this. Crawford is probably shaken by it, as is the rest of the team. Yesterday's loss was devastating.
So Happy. Penguins lost. Chicago has lost 2. Detroit has won one.
Just NEED the Flyers to win today, and this weekend will be pretty dang decent.
Coach Q seems to be more animated on the bench as well.
I heard that the league told him if he grabs his crotch again they are going to make him coach the Cubs.

First round series and predictions:
EAST:
Boston - Could be a fun series but Boston is the best team in hockey right now
Detroit
Tampa
Habs - With Bishop hurt, Tampa is a very long shot.
Pitt - Pitt will make it through one round anyway
Columbus
Rangers - Lundquist makes the difference. Should be the most entertaining series and could go either way.
Flyers
West:
Colorado - Probably the most lopsided first round series. Biggest question is will it go to 5 games
Wild
Blues - This is more hunch than anything else, and guessing that StL will be getting some players back. Healthy they are the better team, but they are not healthy.
Chicago
Ducks - Will be closer than expected, but Dallas is not good enough
Dallas
San Jose - I suspect I will be watching this series as it should be fun. San Jose takes it in 7
Kings
I'm not surprised by any of these scores from last night. If the Tampa goalie wasn't so inept, Tampa wins by a couple. Price was his ordinary self and I don't expect any upside for him - I do think the Tampa goalie could surprise.
Amazing we watched the same game, yet I had no difficulty determining that Tampa was completely outplayed. In fact 44-25 shots on goal. In fact, the Tampa coach has gone on record saying (I paraphrase) 'his team completely sucked.' Not sure if you a) don't quite understand the game of hockey b) was heavily under the influence of streaming tears because the Leafs folded like a cheap suit once again or c) your hatred of the Habs prevents you from making sound judgments on their play. The jury is still out.
You can't even leave politics out of the sports forum can you?1. I despise the Habs - they and their fans are as arrogant and self-important as most liberals.
Lumping Ottawa with Montreal!!2. When my team is out of the playoffs, I don't adopt another team like some fair weather Ottawa fans who suddenly become life-long Habs fans.
Yes, you are for the Leafs and anyone playing the Habs .3. I know plenty about hockey,

It's simple as Quebec/French/liberal versus Ontario/Canada/conservative with you isn't it.
Lumping Ottawa with Montreal!!
I see you have your own racial issues in Canada.
