The Rangers/Penguins game on TV today is seriously mean spirited. I am glad I have Fluery on my fantasy team.

Glad they broadcast todays Wings game. Datsyuk had one of his best games ever. A goal, an assist, 22 faceoffs won to 7 lost, a blocked shot, a whole stack of takeaways(can't find a place that lists that stat for game), and 4 different "how can he do that" moments.

Did not take Boudreau long to find a new job. He is the new Ducks coach, replacing Emilio Estevez I think.

If Washington keeps playing the way they have so far tonight, they are not going to have a good season. They seem to have forgotten that the game is about scoring goals.

On a kinda sad note: Mike Grier retired today. He was not the most talented player to play the game, but there was very very few who worked as hard to contribute to their team.

So I was at a mall during my lunch hour and saw that a sports shop had just moved in. Outside, on some discount racks, were official "last year's model" NHL Senator hockey jerseys. So I had to investigate. Pulling one out, the front looked awesome -- it was the right size and half off at $60.00. So I turned it around and almost gagged. Atop the number 15 was the name "Heatley." Just then a woman approaced me and asked if she could help. Without hesitation, I asked if the $60 price tag was them paying someone to take it off their hands.

Not the first, but close. He took alot of **** for being black, both from fans and occasionally other players, and he never let it get to him, and never complained. I am really hoping Detroit makes him a scout, it would be natural for them to do it.
