This would be after the New Congress is supposed to begin.

Georgia 2014 General Election

-I have found the Green Papers to be the very best and easiest source of Election rules in all 50 states.
As well, this link will allow you to go to any other state's election rules for 2014.

The run-off occurs if neither major candidate gets 50% by GA law.
A strong Libertarian is currently polling at 8% and GA is a close race.

With the uncertainty of what King, Manchin, Sanders and how the Kansas True Independent will do,
chances grow every day neither party will have 50 Senators.

I don't know yet what the Senate rules are with this being the case .

I'm pretty sure that Senate rules do not even mention parties. If there is a tie, I believe the Vice-President still break all ties.

Another question arises if the Senate is 50-49 GOP on Monday Jan. 5th when it is to start a new session.
With the Georgia run-off the next day if there is one.

And then there's talk of both Manchin and King going with the winners or even the GOP.
Then we have the strong independent in Kansas picking up steam and promising to listen to both camps before caucusing.

My preference continues to grow toward a "gang" of even-numbered Senators keeping the tie in place and forcing compromise.
This would be accomplished by one member of the "gang" threatening to go with the GOP before the VP tries to break the tie.
This is also how I see the Dems ridding themselves of Reid .

I suggest taking up sports, you are taking this political thing way too seriously.

While the outcome of most races will known in early November, barring recounts and lawsuits, the winner of the Senate may be far from over.
Get ready for a billion-dollar runoff over Thanksgiving in Louisiana and another in Georgia over Christmas.
Gotta love those state's wrongs .

GOP Georgia Senate candidate Perdue, proudly bragging of his outsourcing of USA jobs overseas, = Sen. McConnell . Why would current GOP governor Deal as well as candidate Perdue, be against Medicaid Expansion for one million of their citizens, costing Georgia 76,000 jobs ?
