Harriet Miers withdraws Supreme Court nomination

Nonsense-racial politics is a dem stock in trade. Democrats don't believe blacks have the same abilities as whites-its dems who push affirmative actions to quota systems and use political correctness to stifle honest debate on the fact that black crime and illegitimacy rates are astronomical.
Whatta bunch of horseshit! This type of post is too typical of people who have no intelligent argument or debate to make on the subject of race in America so they resort to bullshit talking points articulated by the likes of Rush Limbuagh et al, and I guess you?

You want to know racism? Suggesting that a 98% pro-Democratic majority are so STUPID that they can be manipulated by Democrats is the truly racist idea.

I read a post like this one and it stinks, it stinks really badly of racial bias. When anyone writes that Democrats attempts to right the wrongs of generations by providing more opportunity to those that had been oppressed is utterly amazing.

You know what I think of when I read drivel like that? I think of the typical racist doing what they can to keep people down. I read between the lines that a racist likes the status quo because it favors him, and altering the rules so that people who were kept a step behind and now are being allowed to catch up is a fine example of racism 2005 style.

The vast, vast majority of Americans are not racist but that does not mean that there aren't millions of Americans who are, some who are closest racists. The minority who still want to keep people a step behind are afraid, afraid of the competition that equal rights creates.

We supressed an entire race of people for hundreds of years, depriving them of equal rights, education and opportunity. It's going to take a lot longer than 30 or 40 years to eradicate the damage down by our racist forefathers.

I do agree it is all on the demographic choosen.

I am in marketing and have done a few military polls (I reside in San Diego which has a huge Navy and Marine population). From my experience Military personnel are for the president and their decisions no matter what.

I think of it as this. You take a job giving your life for a cause, you need to believe in that cause and that it will come out for the better no matter what. So you don't lose faith in your superiors not matter what or how bad things get. He keep the hope that they take you on the right course and have a plan. Granted I have never been in the military, I am just an observer of statistics.

You could then go up north to Orange County and talk with indivduals there and they will tell you whatever the mass media has told them about our countries leadership.

That is exactly why I don't put much stock in those approval ratings surveys.........

Bottom line is because of their false promises and lies dmeocrats have had minorities in their back pocket since the sixties and "The Great Society" but that is changing especially with Hispanics who make up the biggest racial minority in this country...The President made huge gains with them in the 2004 presidential election and I would venture to say a lot of it had to do with the shabby way the dems treated Miguel Estrada in his failed attempt for and appeals court judge..................

There needs to be a political test before hand to tell if the person is a logical free-thinker or a sheep of propoganda.

Let me tell you then, I believe he is talking about the Reverends (and I use the term loosely) Jackson and Sharpton..........
It's total simpleton thinking to suggest and believe that Jackson & Sharpton speak for all Black Americans. Its just another oversimplification method to make Blacks sound ignorant. It's yet another fine example of the stupidity of generalizations.

The amount of racism in posts here is scary. Some of you, in the last few days wrote untrue and unkind things about Rosa Parks, about equal rights, about affirmative action, about equal eduaction.

Racism is alive in the USA as it is in Debate Politics too.

Saying that Blacks follow Sharpton & Jackson like sheep is RACIST. It's stupid, it's wrong, and it is offensive to me. It's like saying that Pat Robertson leads evangelical Christians like sheep!

Some people will never stop being racist. Fortunately most of us are not in that category.

Must you make things up all the time? Let's try again Navy? Prove with facts that shabby treatment of Estrada by Democrats had a lot to do with what you wrote?

Let me guess? You're going to ignore the challenge again, just like you do almost anytime someone calls your bluff...

Who do you think you're fooling?

I have a flash for you............Sharpton and Jackson are 2 of the biggest racists in this country.........They have both made millions of dollars off the backs of the African American community.......Even as someone as far to the left as you has to admit that..........Well, maybe not......

There has never been a more qualified candidate submitted for the AC then Mr. Estrada.....He was filibustered for one reason and one reason alone in that he is a Conservative Hispanic..............

I wish he would have been nominate this time for the SCOTUS and I would dare the dems try and filibuster him gain..........The leader would invoke the nuclear option that it would even make a lefty like you head spin...........

lots of words-zero wisdom. you have hijacked the thread but the fact remains, its in the dems interest to keep blacks dependent on dem welfare socialism. The left is the only group practicing institutionalized racism now

the dems feared that Estrada's nomination and selection to the second most important court in the country was to groom him for the supreme court. THe dems feared that Bush would make additional inroads to the hispanic vote that will soon eclipse the blacks as the largest minority group in the USA. This is why Estrada was obstructed. ANYONE who understands this process knows that the paper trail and government documents nonsense was just that-in TItle VII litigation we call it a facade serving as a pretext for a racist animus.

THE ABA and all four living Dem solicitor generals gave this guy top recommendations. HE worked for the CLINTON SG's office so the dems damn well knew his performance there
