Okay, I see that you have issues of your own to deal with.  Since I'm a gay male, I don't really attend many baby showers of my straight female friends. However, if I were a straight female, I would invite my gay friends over....the key word here being "friends".
If I weren't invited, no sweat off my nuts. I really don't like small children or babies (or anything to do with them), so I seriously doubt I would be interested in attending anyone's baby shower.
Of course, my straight female friends would know this about me already, and probably not invite me. Which is fine.

Baby showers are generally thrown by women for women.
If for some insane reason I actually had a baby shower if I got pregnant, I don't think inviting any men would ever cross my mind. Unless they were just begging to be invited, in which case I would certainly allow them to come and experience the torture along with me.

Of course! Why would you not "let" you gay friend come and if someone feels that way and has to ask this question? Pretty telling because if they are my friend I would not think twice about it! What an odd question.
