I thought I had stated that my husband and I had practically nothing when we first got together in college. I won't be ashamed of wanting an ambitious man with big dreams. There's nothing really wrong with being broke in college. There is however something wrong with working at Pizza Hut when your 35.

But what if they were the manager or if it's only if he's the delivery boy that is wrong? Is it the fact that it's a job at Pizza Hut that bothers you? I had a friend in high school whose dad was the district manager for about 7 Taco Bells in the city. He made great money and worked very hard but most people just couldn't get over the fact that he worked at Taco Bell and would tease her. But he also started out working full time minimun wage after high school because he got married right away and they already had two kids. Or maybe he's 35 and lost his job and instead of being a bum and waiting around for another job he took what he could for now to pay his bills. Or maybe he's 35 and Pizza Hut pays for his car, his house, and his family's needs and he likes it there.
The only thing I could find wrong with working at Pizza Hut at 35 was if you lived with your parents, worked there part time, and blew all your money on Xbox games and crap. Other than that it just sounds kinda snobbish to look down on someone simply because they work at somewhere which isn't where you would want yourself or husband to work at.

Nah, the trick is to mature, know who you are, and then be yourself. You sound incredibly young and astonishingly bitter for someone who sounds so young. Grow up, work hard, quit pretending to be anything, meet nice girls, and have fun. Money isn't evil. There may well be women who ONLY care about money just as there are men who will replace a woman their age with a younger version. People can be shallow. But there is nothing wrong with wanting to be at a certain point financially by a certain age. There is nothing wrong with working hard, investing in yourself, so you can stop living in survival mode always waiting on a pay check.

When I say I wouldn't day a 30-35 year old working at Pizza Hut if I were single it's cause I know a guy happy doing that at my age is not the guy for me. We'd have NOTHING in common. He might be settled and be a happy man that doesn't need much to get by on. That's fine for him but I like to travel and play in ways that cost lots of money.

Well that sounds better and explains things more than simply saying "there's something wrong with being 35 and working at Pizza Hut".

Yeah, I guess saying there's something "wrong" with him isn't quite what I meant to say. He would be wrong for me. And that's a two way street. He more than likely wouldn't want me either. I'd constantly be looking for ways to get him out of Pizza Hut and on to what I consider bigger and better things. I'd constantly be bugging him to start his own business with me or look for ways where we could get away from relying on Pizza Hut for our money. I mean truthfully Pizza Hut Pizza isn't even good as far as pizza goes. If he really loved pizza I could work with that but let's buy a business, get a brick oven, and make better pizza and more money. That's me. A guy happy and content to work for Pizza Hut would be driven nuts by me. He'd be as miserable with me as I'd be with him.

I'm concerned with what you have against Pizza Hut. I wouldn't want to work there(unless I was offered something like a regional manager job or something), but for cheap, fast pizza, Pizza Hut is king. Unless you are from New York, then its probably sacrilige.

Well they're all sparkly. Plus a good pair of diamond earrings will go with anything. You can wear 'em everyday whether you're dressed up or in jeans.

Pizza Hut pizza is disgusting as far as pizza goes.

Well to be fair, up here the Pizza Hut is nice and clean. When I was in Charleston, it was dark and dirty. I'll eat at the one here, but I only went to Pizza Hut once down in Charleston. I prefer the nicer brick oven pizza places, that you mentioned. But I'll order up a cheap pizza every now and then. There's something nostalgic about eating cheap pizza. Its like going back to college.

But that cubic zirconium stuff sparkles just a nice and is much cheaper. I just don't understand the economics of jewelry.
