I lived in Denali Nat'l Park for a couple of years. I once had a close call with a bear, and another with a moose. If I had to choose, I'd rather have a close call with a moose. both were pretty scary, though.

when it comes to guy things, I hate the "jock" thing. but in Alaska it seemed like 90% of the guys I met had big toyota trucks, a beard, and a pack of dogs. and they loved to talk about their dogs. I hated that whole thing about as much as the "jock" thing.

Yeah but nothing is much sexier than a guy in Carhart's and work boots. Mmmmmmm. Mmmmmmmm.

Moose are so bad that they use the same word for singular and plural.

Thankfully, they don't travel in herds. If I ran across a herd of moose I would just bend over and kiss my ass goodbye because they would likely kill everything in their path.

The year I moved to Alaska, some kids were throwing snowballs at a bull moose and pissed it off something fierce over in Russian Jack park. Moose ran off and came across a blind guy on APU campus and stomped him to death. The moose killed a blind guy. That's not a nice animal.
