D)Apologize even if you aren't in the wrong just to get her/him to shut up

No, I've had a long relationship with my girlfriend in michigan since High school, and I've known here since elementary. Granted, we've had our arguments, but I wouldn't(and haven't) do so much as to raise my voice to her.

I know people who have gotten physical in their relationship. I don't know why. The arguments and situations we get in to aren't any different than anyone else's, I guess nothing else really bother's us so much that we would yell or scream.

This is going to sound trite and over-simplified but it has worked for us for going on 6 years now. An argument between us goes somthing like this:

Josh: ----

Me: Are you angry about something?

Josh: Yes.

Me: What is it?

Josh: Don't you know?

Me: Ok, let's just make this easy. What am I going to have to do to make sure that I still get laid tonight if I want?

Josh: *gives list he's been thinking about since he first got mad*

Me: Aye Aye, Captain.

I rarely get mad at him. When I was younger, my temper was terrible, and I would sometimes hit him, taking advantage of the fact that he would not hit me back. Sometimes I would break things in the house too.
But now, I rarely ever get mad at him. He is so good, so compliant. And I am calmer now, and usually tired because I work so much.
Nothing is worth getting riled up about anymore.
Most of our stress anyway came from the kids, and from overcrowding.
Now that they're older and out of the house a lot, it is less stressful.
My husband has also found classes and community work that keep him occupied a lot of the time, so we're not tripping over each other all the time.

Naw. It's just his personality.
He's always been a sweet man.
He used to be hella annoying sometimes, though.
I never find him annoying anymore.
I think it's more that I've changed, than that he has.
