I watched a movie last night about a teen boy being addicted to porn. Over time every time he'd see a decent looking woman, he'd fantasize about her sexually. It made me wonder if porn, and porn like images foster men/women to constantly have sex on the brain when conversing or seeing the opposite sex. Example, say a man is a mechanic, and a nice looking lady walks in, does his brain automatically go into 'sex' mode?

I know there could probably be 100 different retorts to this thread, but I'm asking for only serious replies. If you MUST add something comical, add it near the end please

Sex is a natural part of ALL humans, though I imagine males are a far more visual creature than females (from my own experience). I have known many women however, that see a well made man and immediately consider his...uh...attributes in a sexual fashion. To my mind, Porn plays an insignificant role in the mind when it comes to visualizing a female in person, as there are too many "True" experiences to build a fantasy from in the memory.

I think men react to visual stimulation more than women, and women are more imaginative. So for guys when we see something, we are turned on by what we see, where as women see something and are turned on by the possibilities of what they see, which is why they are so often disappointed

I believe humans often engage in behaviors they find enjoyable, and over time these behaviors can be reinforced, habitual, reflexive, etc. Same for everything..eating, thinking optimistically, exercising, philosophical pondering, and so on.

What's curious is why some are considered fine, and some are not. Society runs some risk by letting people freely look at porn, but most believe it's an acceptable risk, to allow the freedom to do so. They'd also run a risk of prohibiting it (see prohibition), just of a different sort.

Some people will find they become habitual with something like like, will recognize it, and overcome their habits. They might feel pride at doing this, a sense of accomplishment, more control over other habits they may develop, etc. I think coaching people how to recognize such issues, and how to overcome them, is probably better overall than prohibition, better than labeling things as "good and bad", or better than social enforcement.

Sometimes, but certainly not all the time. To do that each and every time or even often would be too time consuming and energy intensive and, ultimately, unsatisfying because you can't do anything about it. So why make yourself miserable?

But there are times when a woman looks so good or something about her appearance just pushes your button and there is no way to NOT think about her naked and sexually.

And that's when the fun starts.

Women will never understand men in this sense.
The feeling of being trapped like an animal in a cage.

Women get to build biological material and release it naturally and the process starts anew unless interrupted by a mans biological material and then a new process begins. They always get to move foreward biologically no matter what. It is always an open road with no cops in sight.

Men just build and build and build.... There is no hope of release except by some form of intervention be it with a woman or not.. The road is always blocked. Even if you got some last night today the road is blocked until you get some intervention..

Men are just stuck holding a heavy constantly filling bag unless jump started so yeah in a dry spell or not decent looking women are pretty much always looked at as a potential jump starter so to speak.
