The only men I know who don't instinctively think sexual things when seeing a woman are gay. Also, in high-stress situations, it's typically far more prudent to focus on the situation at hand and those kinds of thoughts tend not to come up quite as much.

I don't know about any other women, but I never think of sex with strangers I encounter during my daily life, no matter how attractive.
Then again, I'm not a super high-libido kind of chick, especially now that I've got some kind of hormone imbalance- low progesterone or something.
I would pretty much prefer to be doing just about anything other than having sex, with anyone, these days.

But when I was younger, I never really thought about having sex with attractive strangers, either; this is weird, but I always thought more about whether they were attracted to me.
That turned me on- them wanting me, how I looked in their eyes, in their mind's eye, what they thought about when they fantasized about me.
I know that sounds weird, I think I was sort of pathologically self-centered when I was young.
Everything had to be about me. Instead of a relationship between me and some guy, it was a relationship between me and... me, reflected in some guy's eyes.
My ex-husband once, when we were first married, gave me a zippo lighter engraved, "Let me be your mirror". (some Andy Warhol quote, I think).
And at the time, I remembered thinking that was pretty astute of him, because that's pretty much all he was to me.

So, anyway, yeah, I don't fantasize sexually about guys- or girls- that I see; that would require an other-directedness that I don't possess and never have.
If anything, I've always been more apt to fantasize about how I would look, with them, and what they're thinking, about me.

whenever I see an attractive person, male or female, thoughts of having sex with them will at least cross my mind, though I wouldn't go as far as saying that I'm fantasizing about them.

hell, they dont even need to be that attractive.

if its a woman, my thoughts will be more visual. if its a man, my thoughts will be more about the physical sensations but not as visual. of course, there's always elements of both.

I think its pretty normal. It doesn't effect how I interact with them, other than how being attracted to someone would typically alter how someone behaves.

I have to agree with 1069. I don't fantasize about sex when I see an attractive man, or imagine them naked. I feel weird now learning that guys may be thinking that while having a casual convo. Then again, that's probably cuz I'm a control freak.
