That would be a perfectly healthy and proper attitude.

I am referring to the idea that sex is a commodity, something to be traded or used for gain. Or, worse, that a person's only value might be sexual. Aside from the fact that pornography is itself commoditized sex, the "plots" of many of these productions also revolve around some form of prostitution.

Of course sex is a commodity. There's nothing perverse about that. It's just a fact of life. (nothing wrong with it either)

What you are proposing devalues sexuality and the emotional and spiritual role it plays in the lives of human beings. It reduces something sacred into an exchange of services.

And yes... that is perverse.

Sex is only "sacred" if the participants want it to be. Personally, I've never had "sacred" sex.

Though I did try to get a BF to have sex with me on an altar in a church once. Would that count as "sacred"?

My point is there is a difference between pornography and prostitution.Pornography would exist without people being paid.In many ancient cultures it was common for a man and woman to have pictures of themselves having sex on the wall like they where family vacations.
