It strikes me as being hypocritical to say "Everyone who hates gays is secretly gay", because there's no way that that's true, and the only reason anyone would say it is is because they want to call everyone who hates gays gay, and they're thusly treating "gay" as a viable insult.
That all being said, you can definitely tell with some that they're dealing with **** they're not prepared to deal with in the only way they know how. |
Not all homophobes are closet cases, that is true. But in my personal experience I would have to say it's a fairly regular condition. Human beings fear what they do not understand, thats nature. But not everyone who hates gays, are gay, it may just mean they are curious. I
t may mean they genuinely want to ask questions (not because of latent homosexuality) but know it is socially unexeptable, A good deal is conditioned hatered...we learn by example, and even others simply exhibit hate towards the gay community because they have a desire to fit in and be a pert of the herd. We all have the desire to fit in somewhere.
Your right, it is hypocritical to assume all homophobes are such because they have latent homosexuality.
