It's all situational. I've had quite my fair share of one-night stands, but I've also waited a few days, weeks, sometimes even months a fair amount of times as well.

It depends on the girl, what I'm looking for in the relationship, and sometimes, the time of the month.

I voted never. Why? Because it's not a matter of waiting, it either just happenes or it doesn't. It's not something, in the begining of a relationship that you would plan for or there's a grace period in which it would become acceptable - it just happens when both parties feel it's the right time.

I think it is simply a matter of when it's right. There have been sometimes that I didn't even finish my drink before we were headed out the door and then other times that I waited weeks. Just depends on how we hit it off.

I will say this though...if a guy gave it up too fast, I wasn't thinking in terms of relationships anymore.

I dated my first boyfriend for 10 months in high school and never had sex. I dated the second one my senior year of high school and into college, for 2 years before having sex. I think for the most part, I just wanted to wait until I was done with high school, but I don't think he was really ready until around the time we broke up 5 months later.

since then, I've never really felt any need to wait. I wont have sex with someone if I don't know them well enough to trust, but I don't date people until i've become friends with them enough to establish that trust anyway.

I suppose one exception to that was with a woman, but I think that was a bit different. not different in any moral sense, but different because I think I trust women more quickly than I trust men. and she and I hit it off really well as soon as we met.
