They need something that works before the rapists has a chance to probe at all. Something that actually prevents the rape from happening. Sure it may feel good to know that some a$$hole who tried to get a piece of you without your consent got bit by your vaginal teeth but then you still got to deal with that a$$hole and now he's pissed and probably wild like an animal in a trap. And the next time he's gonna make sure you don't get a chance to bite and at the end of the day women will be worse off. I stand by my assertion that it's an absurd invention and not very well thought out at all.

My old martial arts instructor had a great saying, when he was teaching womens self defense. He said, All this technique is nice, but violence rules the day. If you are being attacked, you have to be able to take the violence to a level your attacker is not prepared to commit to themselves. You have to go beyond what they are going to do. I don't see any problem with it if it makes a woman feel "safer." It doesn't stop the initial penetration, but it would cut the rape short, I believe. Couldn't it also incite anger in the rapist who might retaliate even more violently? I don't know....seems like a dangerous chance to take if you really think you may be a victim of rape, wouldn't mace, or a taser work better?

First of all...If a mans intent is to take what is not his, he deserves what he gets. Secondly, I have seen guys walk right through mace and tazers and such...but you rack a guy good and they are going down.
