SURVEY: Right Wingers More Sexually Satisfied...

Well... The Right certainly seems to have a lot less generalized angst over the whole thing, at least on a cultural basis.

That could certainly play into these findings. Especially given the fact that we're dealing with reported self-satisfaction.

The Left (and particularly those on the 'VERY LEFT' side of things) can have a tendency, I've observed, to overthink things on the sexual front (IMO, at least) - Toys, manuals, lengthy debates over what's "degrading," or "sexist," and what's not, etca, etca. Conservatives, by and large, just have sex and get it over with.

I can't help but think of the whole situation as being somewhat reminiscent of these yuppie athlete sorts who spend $1500 on a pair of running shoes. After a certain point, you're just not getting any more bang for your buck. A pair of shoes is just a pair of shoes, and sex is just sex.

Do what makes you happy and get it over with. :shrug:

Just 66% of “left wing” Brits claimed to have a satisfactory sex life. This was significantly less than the 73% of Brits who considered themselves both “very right wing” and sexually satisfied, and the 70% who considered themselves “right wing” and satisfied.

No - not possible. Sorry. Back to the drawing board. Too many percentages overlap. Someone cannot be BOTH. What did they do? FORCE everyone to answer questions in relation to ALL of those possibilities? MAYBE the 'very right wing' and 'right wing' can share in a vector - because being right wing is a required subset component of being very right wing. but 70%/73% or 66% cannot BOTH be LEFT and RIGHT wing.

Further . . . 66% and 70% or even 73% aren't SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT. They're different WITHIN a reasonable margin of error . . . which washes out.

So: over 60% of Brits report to be sexually satisfied . . . well good for them. Must be because they consider oral sex to be as impactful and meaningful as sex.

To be fair, I think they meant "66% of the Left Wingers surveyed," not "66% of the whole."

Secondly, I agree. The difference isn't huge. However, it does appear to be consistent... At least according to this one study, for whatever that's worth. :shrug:

If you enjoy yourselves, don't broadcast it to the world. These stories are like university freshmen bragging to their roommates that they banged some girl the night before. Good on ya, capt., now do yourself a favor and keep it to yourself.
 
It could easily be a case of ignorance is bliss too. Without knowing what is out there, then you don't know what you are missing.

Overall though, that difference is pretty small considering. And its self reported.

Headline grabber to promote a book and therefore untrustworthy. Surveys (as opposed to studies) have no controls and can be twisted to give pretty much any result you want to achieve. Even the hack himself admits that the results are, in practice, meaningless.

In other related news, their partners are usually restrained farm animals, mainly sheep.

This is why their secret salutation is "Yo, wooly wooly", followed by "I love the smell of mutton in the morning".
