I have empathy for the true trans caught up in this mess. Like we both said, this was never a problem before.

Exactly. Reminds me of a story of two warring tribes who constantly fought their battles... in the territory of a third tribe. The third tribe really had nothing to do with the other two tribes' dispute... but they got caught in the middle and they were the one's who ended up suffering.

Reasonable responses. I may just refer to this "agreement" from here on out.

1. Jury is still out on what the eventual effect of new bathroom laws will yield
2. I agree more now with CC's take on this issue than I did in the past, and I concede he is more knowledgeable on this issue than am I.
3. Trans people are caught in the crossfire between ideological idiots.

I don't believe that for one minute, you have used pejoratives, consistently argued against the condition and equivocated along with others between 'men' and 'transgender'. Your obvious insincerity in that post makes my skin crawl. Ugh!

I may not agree on all the details regarding cause and the various attempts at redefining what are men and women, but I definitely feel empathy for those who are victims of this condition. Liberals are hung up on everything being balck and white, just like Conservatives. "You either buy into everything we say or you are a bigot."

Well, any policy such as this takes time for the effects to be evaluated. Some of the laws have been in effect since 2008, and there have been no ill effects from them.

Yup. It's a shame. A group that already struggles with issues of family support, medical bills, and bigotry, has to be in the middle of a dick measuring contest between a pair of morons.

Yep. Just like a couple of doods to come up with that conclusion! I'd say it is the 51% of the human population called women who are the ones caught between ideological idiots.

No, women are being used as pawns by ONE side of the ideological idiots to attack transsexuals. It's the transsexuals who then get caught in the middle. Figures a woman would miss this point.

Statistically, women appear to be more supportive of trans bathroom rights than men. If they weren't I would have weeks ago been using it as a hammer. Lord knows I was looking for it.

lol...best is to go to "settings" and click the toggle which blocks the dispay of signatures. I blocked them years ago. Too many people have those damned things.

Like calamity said, don't like my sig, change your settings. I like it and that's what counts. As far as "converting" you, that's not my goal. Either you will listen or you will not. My goal is to present my position as well as possible and to defeat yours as well as possible.

Demanding black and white adherence to ideology and refusing to accept a variety of interpretations is not a matter of politics. It's more a matter of mentality. My position on the trans issue is rather nuanced. But, none of that even matters when I say I empathize with all who genuinely suffer from the condition.

What has actually happened is that your ridiculous posturing has been exposed for what it is and you have backpedalled faster than the UCI drug testing panel in the 1990s.
