I voted "funny".

I will say it's not a "laughing" kind of funny though. Just slightly amusing.

Far from offensive.

That was really a try-hard.

Oh.

Wow, that never crossed my mind at all. Whenever I see this commercial all I think about is how snobbish some people are. Never even thought about the "coming out" paralell.

I think it works on both levels. There are always things parents disapprove of

It's a poorly conceived commercial for several reasons. If I were BMW, I would make a spoof of it and change the focus to young people not knowing how to manage money. Then I would point out Infiniti's cost of ownership, maintenance cost and depreciation.

Meanwhile trying to sell a BMW?

Offensive to whom?

And not it's not funny either.

But seriously, offensive to whom??

This one is easier to spot where the offense is... Showed up on BBC the other night.

I could see a lot of infinity owners being offended by this commercial ascertaining that infinities are for queers..

As a BMW or German car guy this commercial is funny..

I didn't either. I thought about all the Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge fans and also the people who only buy American and would be therefore shocked if a child bought an import.

That is until the new Ford, GM or Mopar results in multiple requests to borrow money for tow bills when those vehicles repeatedly break down.
