High IQ and Sexual Exclusivity

Studies have shown a correlation between High IQ, liberalism, Atheism, and Sexual Exclusivity in Men. I definitely have a very high IQ, I am an atheist, a liberal, and I definitely prefer sexual exclusivity. Not that I don't do one night stands ever, but it's fairly rare. The thing is, I'm 33 and I'm still single. In fact I really haven't had any serious relationships at all(more than about 3 months).

Now I'm really not trying to make this thread about me the individual, but rather about guys like me in general. I also don't want to sound like I'm bragging here at all, but I'm not sure how else to illustrate my point here without stating some facts. If you'd like to ignore my personal story feel free to skip down past the spoiler.

these studies you speak of ... i have to wonder how many people were in them. who made up the control group? demographics? What nonsense.

You say this post isn't about you as an individual..more nonsense. If self aggrandizement is not your goal here, i am a born again virgin.

A meme where the protagonist is a high iq, liberal, atheist, pompous ass... your hero worship is confusing.

A link to the study was posted above if that's really important to you.

Why put my personal information in a spoiler then? If it was about my own self aggrandizement why does it prevent you from discussing the general subject?

Ummm... I'm sorry, but what's the point to all this? What's the question you're trying to ask?

I fall in the general category you're speaking of here. I have a high IQ, I strongly prefer sexual exclusivity, and I have a rather passive approach to dating and courtship. I am not, however, Liberal or Atheist. I am a (pragmatically) Conservative Roman Catholic, of a somewhat more traditionalist bent. I also am not quite as well established as you are... though I'm a good five years younger, and working on achieving something similar.

Yes, I don't tend to find myself in a lot of relationships for most of those same reasons.

I am, however, in a relationship now. As to how that happened? Well... It beats the Hell out of me. I had little say in the process.

I guess I just happened to run across one of the minority of women out there who finds all of those things appealing.

It is worth noting that she is of a rather traditional bent herself, though. I think a large part of my appeal is that I actually look like a good prospect for "settling down," so to speak, and she's had some bad experiences with men who really weren't so big on "sexual exclusivity" in the past.

I'm not sure if you're going to find a lot of women with that same mindset in the modern "Liberal Atheist" crowd you seem to be searching in. The ideological nonsense which usually permeates such social groups tends to result in respect for things like "sexual exclusivity" to be hard to come by, in my experience. The idea that a man should be any kind of "stable provider" (what guys like us tend to be good at) is often treated as being almost categorically offensive as well.
