I can't tell if you have any idea how badly your argument has been eviscerated here. Let me nutshell it for you :

1) being in gay porn could mean a variety of acts, and not all of them even require the appearance of arousal
2) many people can imagine something else or take a drug to produce arousal, they can fake it
3) to be a homosexual, one must be sexually attracted to their own gender. One can participate in sexual behavior with their own gender without being sexually attracted to their own gender, see 1) and 2).

It doesn't make you a homophobe, although it might be a symptom of it. What it would make you is more than likely unemployed and unemployable. An actor doesn't have to be a pilot to play a pilot, or be a gangster to play a Mafioso. Mel Gibson didn't have to take up Scottish citizenship to play Braveheart. As an actor you've every right to turn down any role you want, but doing so for arbitrary reasons will get you a poor reputation, and reputation is everything in the acting world.

YES, to the QUEER word. I have NEVER liked the term NIGGER. I have several black & hispanic friends growing up, in the Navy, and now, but my Dad used it a hundred times a day, and I hate it.

I like to see their faces when you throw their words right back at them. If they call themselves QUEER, then I am free to use it in their face.

You are not going to like this, but it is not a good idea to think you know someone when you don't.

Stereotyping only leads to mistakes about everything. But, of course, some people feel they never make a mistake about anything they do or say. It is called ELITISM and or ARROGANCE.

You need to put up your broad brush.

Now, are you willing to admit you made a mistake about me using the N word, and apologize, or are you too good and superior of an individual to do so?

I didn't say you did use it. In fact I would assume you wouldn't call a black guy 'nigger' to his face, but somehow you find it amusing and acceptable to call a gay guy 'queer' to his face. I wonder what's going on with that kind of contradictory behaviour.

Yeah. Why wouldn't I? Were gay men who got into sham marriages to protect themselves not actually gay? Most of them had at least some sex with their wives and had children. Many also had affairs with men.

Performing an action is not the same as orientation. If an actor is a villain in a movie, are they bad people in real life? If they're a superhero, do they actually have superpowers?

It makes a degree of sense -- gay porn actors are usually paid more than straight ones. Mainstream porn is run with Viagra these days anyway, so if you're willing to put your heart under that kind of stress, I imagine it's not that difficult to perform.

Even studies have used erections to see if someone is gay or not. Can't say if they are good studies, but a while ago they measured the amount of arousal of homophobes when looking at male and female nude pictures to determine if they were gay or not. They also had a control group of men that were not homophobes and did the same thing with them. As it turns out the homophobe group on average became aroused by male pictures, while the non homophobe group did not.

Doesn't mean they're gay.

People often develop an arousal response connected to taboo and shame -- even for completely inanimate objects, or for things that make them unhappy.

While I would say the odds of one of those men being a closested gay man with a lot of internalized homophobia are probably higher than in the non-homophobe group, it could just as easily be a fetishization of taboo.

That's not exactly the same thing.

In that case, they're checking if the presence of male nudity (i'm assuming) causes arousal without other forcing.

In gay porn, the performers are expected to appear aroused whether they are or not.

You said gay porn and your study were the "same thing."

They are not. In one case, a performer is paid to appear aroused independent of stimuli. In the other, the native stimuli response is being measured.

Yeeeaaahhh... No. Not even Hollywood's quite that far gone just yet. Though... They certainly seem to be trending in that direction, at least as the Left becomes more and more blatant about pushing its libertine cultural agenda.

And to think just a couple of decades ago, the staunchly Catholic actor who played "Longshanks" in Braveheart refused to play James Bond simply because the character was "too much of a sinner."
