Swedish Feminist try to pass a law forcing men to pee sitting down

What if the way you pee presents unnecessary sanitation risks to everyone else? What if I liked to pee on the wall and floor, should I be allowed to do so?

If people are making a mess then you come up with a solution to the problem that doesn't force them to pee in the way you want. We actually did do that btw, but well, unisex bathroom are all the rage these days in some countries, so yeah.

But you haven't answered the question: Why is it important, to you, to pee standing up?

Answer: because somehow it makes you a man.

Because I can stand up when I pee and I'm opposed to be ordered to sit.

Even if sitting makes public restrooms more sanitary? Why do you hate sanitation?

The bottom line is: you feel your manhood is threatened by being asked to "pee like a girl". It is amazing that anyone would tie their manliness to such a thing but it's plain to see.

Why do you hate freedom? Why can't you just propose an idea that doesn't violate someones freedom?

Of course I never did any such thing.

Oh, please. Your use of terms like "ordered" and "feminism" blatantly show this to be about your manliness.

But let's play along with your denial for a moment. Okay, what's the problem with peeing sitting down? How is this sanitary method an attack on you?

So what you're saying is a law forcing men to pee sitting down isn't about sanitation. It's about emasculating men??? Why do you think men should be emasculated???

Why don't you like men????

nah, no mess...they have these cool little gadgets now...we too can pee standing... there's the "shewee" and the "go girl" to name a few...different colours too...ya know, to match our outfits... LOL

*Not googling.*

Public sanitation is not a violation of freedom.

Of course I never did any such thing.

Deny all you want. The impetus of your objection is obvious to everyone else.

So what you're saying is a law forcing men to pee sitting down isn't about sanitation. It's about emasculating men???

That's clearly your idiotic claim, not mine.

Clearly the authors of that law have seen what a public men's room looks like, lol! Have you gone into one of those things with a blacklight? Hell, even the damned ceiling is covered in pee!

Clearly the OP is just combing the web by Googling "Feminism Has Ruined The World" articles!

Ooh..so that's not what you're getting at eh????

That is your claim. You don't know that?

Could you honestly be condemning sanitation in the name of "I'm a man because I pee standing up" and not know that's what you're doing?

haha

I tell ya, though, someone thinking that peeing standing up is what makes them a man is too funny.

You just wrote this and your still claiming a law forcing men to pee sitting down is about sanitation, not emasculating men???

Talk about wanting your cake and eating it too-lol

I just went pee, standing up....Na Na Na Na

Public sanitation is not a violation of freedom.

And which illnesses will be prevented this law? Is there an issue with urine-transmitted diseases in Sweden?

How, precisely, is public sanitation served by making a handful of people employed by this city council sit down to pee when they're at work?

Well, given your admission of total ignorance on the subject, I can only offer my own unstudied glimpse into the reasoning: while urine is itself sterile, it serves as a great petri dish due to the level of nitrogen.

How, precisely, is public sanitation served by making a handful of people employed by this city council sit down to pee when they're at work?

Less petri dishes of bacteria on the floor for everyone to step in.

Look, I said I'm not convinced of the sanitation argument. But if it proves reasonable, then we stand to gain in this change. My question then becomes: what is the harm? Will you provide us with the harm done? Because I don't see it.

Male representatives on the Sormland County Council in Sweden should sit rather than stand while urinating in office restrooms, according to a motion advanced by the local Left Party.

Known as a socialist and feminist organization, the party claims that seated urination is more hygienic for men -- the practice decreases the likelihood of puddles and other unwanted residue forming in the stall -- in addition to being better for a man's health by more effectively emptying one's bladder, The Local reported.

But not everyone agrees.
"Men scatter urine not so much during the actual urination as during the 'shaking off' that follows," John Gamel, a professor at the University of Louisville, wrote while addressing the issue in 2009. "As a result, forcing men to sit while emptying their bladders will serve little purpose, since no man wants to shake himself off while remaining seated on the toilet."

A representative from the party said he hopes to move toward sitting only bathrooms.

Swedish Left Party Chapter Wants To Make Urinating While Standing Illegal For Men

They can prohibit it, that doesn't stop it. Further it seems impossible to enforce this law. So I think it's just saber rattling.

It's not really a law and would be pretty unreasonable to enforce (although there appears to be some men behind it). I think it is ridiculous but has little to do with feminism and much more to do with just someone coming up with an unreasonable solution to what they feel is a problem.

According to the original article in Sweden's The Local, this is why they're pushing for this law:

The Left Party's Viggo Hansen, a substitute member of the county council and the man responsible for the proposal, wants the office toilets to be genderless and as a result, is pushing for the "sit-down only" requirement.

Yeah, there's no effing way I'm ever using a genderless public bathroom. Men's public restrooms are notoriously revolting. I don't care if they pass a stupid law to force them to sit down, there's no way they can possibly enforce it. What are they gonna do? Install cameras in every stall?? Effing leftwing loons.

Actually.... my first husband was Professor's son who first job at 13 was cleaning the Student Union, he sits when he pees. He said that after cleaning both bathrooms for 3 years it was unquestionable that peeing standing up is appropriate for outdoors and nothing more, not even a urinal. It was much more pleasant cleaning the bathroom as his wife than as the daughter or girlfriend of any other man I shared an abode with.

PS: that includes all aspects of the bathroom being cleaner including the door handle, the flush handle, the cubby of walls that usually surrounds the toilet, the floor, and the light switches.

It actually is healthier for men to pee sitting down as well although the difference is small unless the man has actual renal health problems.

Not really, .... when sitting down a man sort of uses his knuckles to keep things generally in a downward position, a standing man has the parts of his fingers that also open doors, turn on faucets, touch everything,... also touching something that was tucked damned near his anus. ... spreading fecal matter everywhere there after.

Yeah feminism.

No, I don't buy this. Jamming your penis between your legs in an unnatural position is not likely healthy. Not even a little. It's kind of like kinking a garden hose. Plus it sometimes dips into the toilet water. If you tell me the health benefits of having toilet water on your penis I'm going to laugh out loud.
