I got home just in time to see Lorana Bobit getting a standing ovation on the Steve Harvey show for cutting off her husbands penis while he slept.

Steve Harvey and Lorana Bobbit were cracking genital mutilation jokes and the audience was beside themselves laughing hysterically.

Get this, Lorana Bobbit has a domestic violence foundation, I'm not joking.

Lorana Bobit’s husband was never found guilty of domestic violence btw and Lorana Bobbit was found innocent for reasons of temporary insanity.

How many posts are you going to make about that subject? Anyway, if you go around the internet or just talk to people about it IRL you will find many people that approve of her actions and will openly cheer her on. Of course they have no logical argument as to how it is justified, but well, he was a bad man, so you know, it's all good. So bad in fact that mutilating him as he sleeps is entirely justified. What I find curious about it though is that not one of them seems to recognize how cowardly it is to attack someone as they sleep. It's this big bad tough thing to do for her bravo, even if she did it when he was sleeping.

When someone is sleeping they can not defend themselves and there is no reasonable grounds to attack them. If she was awake and unhappy about her situation she should have left while he slept, not attack him.

yeah but he sort of got what he deserved, if you were being beaten and raped by a family member on a regular basis you would probably cut his dick off, maybe even kill him, which is worse. Plenty of wives shoot their husbands for less. its a gross story but morally theres nothing wrong with it.

i mean the story will sell newspapers but its not actually worth caring about at all

when there is physical inequity ones does what one can when things are more equalized

I am not justifying what she did either.

Also like attracts like...dysfunction attracts dysfunction...when one of the partners begins to move away from the dysfunction, they move on...otherwise or until then, they cling to each other

What evidence do you have that John Bobbit was beating and raping Lorana Bobbit other than Lorana Bobit saying he was???

No evidence exists that john bobbit was raping or beating lorana bobbit but it's a fact that lorana bobbit cut off john bobbits penis.

I really wonder if anyone here has some issues with women? Maybe it's just me, but I keep getting that feeling when looking over a lot of the threads in this section of the forum.

what I am not clear on is why?

what causes that "I am a victim" when clearly they have the upper hand in most circumstances should they care to use it?

She clearly could have. She was awake at a time he was sleeping and there is little doubt the keys were out in the open and the car was right there waiting for her. She could have easily taken the car and went somewhere safe.
