Pretty or sexy?

Pretty is a prerequisite for being a Posse member.

That was a no-brainer.

since i will never be described as either

i will settle for successful

ask any woman over 40 which looks better.....a nice set of pecs, or a nice bank account

see which one she chooses
 
I am not sure why some of the older guys on here say they are too old to be considered handsome. Men have the advantage of being able to remain handsome well into old age if they keep themselves strong and fit. A fair number of men are more handsome in their 40s and 50s than they were in their 20s.

I would rather be considered handsome as a man than sexy. I am 39 and I think most people would regardless as fairly handsome when I am cleaned up. Still rocking 6 pack abs, so that has to help. :)
 
i have a LOT of flaws....

vanity isnt one of them

i have been greatly blessed....but looks wasnt on the agenda that day

i dont have an issue with it....never have

some men do get more distinguished looking as they age....not all

Hair is a sign of vanity. Some guy told me that back when I got out of high school and was wondering why he had a shaved head. He said somebody like the Dalai Lama said that, but I don't know if it is true or not. I chopped my hair super short after that. It was so easy to take care of, but then people thought I was either a boy or a lesbian.

I find after drinking a six pack, being pretty or sexy doesn't matter anymore.

Not that this really has anything to do with the thread, but a core doctrine of Buddhism is impermanence meaning that everything that exists is transient or changing. Thus permanence is an illusion. Suffering results from clinging to the illusion of permanence. For example, one of the reasons we suffer in life is through clinging to our youthful looks, which results in suffering because our looks will change as we grow older despite our attachment to our youthful appearance. Buddhist monks therefore cut off their hair as a symbol of cutting off attachment.

I knew this guy, and he was a big guy, but he always said that drinking whiskey made him ten feet tall and bullet proof. He loved acting like some hotshot ladies man when he got drunk. It was funny to watch, usually because he ended up alone at the end of the night. Almost always. But, he sure thought he was super cool up til the end.

Then, he quit drinking and found a girl who he married. They've been together for a while now, and very happy. Guess he was better off being his own height and not bullet proof, whatever that meant.

I agree.

I find Marisa Tomei far more interesting and sexy than the buxom blondes they keep dragging out to be rescued by men twice their age. I find Rosamund Pike in the same category, especially in her later films like Gone Girl where she is allowed to appear natural
 
Depends on who …


work ... I like to be considered professional and well groomed. I wear glasses and hair back tied back and lab coat.

strangers … it does not matter what they think of me in terms of (pretty or sexy) as each has their own type. I hope they find me polite and kind.

friends … pretty is a nice compliment I guess - yet not necessary.

if a man was my guy … I would hope he thought I was so very fine, pretty , beautiful, sexy, kind, smart, appreciated my good character and I was his chick or babe! I guess I appreciate old fashioned men as I can support myself, take good care of my family, have built my professional life. I like protective supportive men that demonstrate that towards me.
