I think that were I a rapist, I would wear the "I am not a Rapist!" t-shirt.
I'm so tired of this assumption by certain groups of women that men are too stupid to understand consent and that if women could only teach them how it works, there would be no more rape.
It isn't that we don't think they understand it. It's that we, and many men too, think that some men feel entitled to women's bodies, which is something we can change culturally -- and we think so correctly. I mean, unless you just think it's a complete coincidence that the more sexist the country, the higher the rape rate.
Care to get me a source on that one? Even if thats true its more down to cultures that take rape seriously having more robust law enforcement on the issue then 'rape culture' per say.
Maybe women like China Arnold, Bridget Christie, Diane Downs, Susan Smith, Marybeth Tinning, Andrea Yates can write good arguments.
How would women respond if they were constantly reminder that they have potential to be like the above characters?
What are you saying? Are you calling young girls at parties sluts? Are you pretending that there is no expectation of boys being responsible and NOT sexually assaulting or raping the girls, just because all parties are inexperienced? Is that what you mean by "PC" --- expecting to enjoy life without being assaulted?
Hoping to be treated with a little respect, and to not be raped or sexually assaulted is not some kind of PC stuff. I'm sorry, but I can't understand what you are trying to say.
I think it is less safe for women today. Everything is sexualized and often in ways degrading. If rape is more prevalent, if degradation, harassment, and humiliation are more prevalent, it is due to the loss of convention. And it seems rather peculiar to see the left complaining about that.
