Yes, she is quite beautiful. No way she should be in a men's prison, though, regardless of how she looks. Period.

Why is this news?

Sure, in general terms for someone in the general population, sure whatever I'm OK indulging someone' sensibilities, but at the end of the day, this isn't dealing with those factors of social politeness. This is a convicted criminal. The state does not have to indulge the notion that he'd rather be a woman.

This is a male prisoner. If we're segregating prisoners by their gender, a widespread practice, then yes, he belongs where he is.

But he is a man. Would you put all men with long hair in a woman's prison or would you make them take hormones first? That would be unusual and cruel.

She had time to sort out her legal status before headbutting a barman. She has a previous record and would be well aware of the need to have sorted her legal status out before doing anymore crime.

Yeah, that's true, and I am not saying she is in any way innocent or whatever. But, the thought of having to, ugh. It just gives me a headache. It does.

Maybe she needs some serious counseling for these troubles she gets into? Would that be possible in prison? I don't know anything about any prisons, here or anywhere else. I'm okay with that actually, but just curious if any prisoners get mental health screenings or help if they need it?

His genetics is factual.

SHE is a WOMAN, and the little paperwork issue will get itself fixed. Just wait, it will happen. In the meantime, I will just hope nothing bad happens to her in that men's prison.

There's plenty of support available but as she has 8 previous crimes to her name I think this is one person who doesn't engage with the counselling and support available.

I don't care what she's done. That's neither here nor there. She's post-op transgender, she should be in a woman's prison. Fast track her legal papers and get her the hell out there. She shouldn't have spent even one minute in a men's prison, for crying out loud. What the hell is wrong with these effing bureacrats???

Reality and the law will be in total agreement once the proper papers are filed. Just wait. It will happen.

Right now, only the law is lagging behind reality.
