In This Scenario, Who Would Be Right?

The main reason why some women abuse men is because they know that the laws will neither punish them nor let the man defend himself.

Those evil women! Won't someone hurt them?!

Modern American and British law treats abused men like slaves.

But some slaves do rebel.

They should be treated like the pansies they are.

I respect them more then I respect white knights.

I am against hurting anyone. I am just saying that men are also human and have a right not to be abused.

Maybe the next man you assault will defend himself with a firearm.

Maybe, but the police and the District Attorneys all thought it was justified and that it was legal, so it wasn't assault. Once they stopped, I stopped and called the police myself and waited for them to arrive.

Also, if a person pulls a gun on me, I surely hope for their sake that they don't actually point it at me. You see, I am one that DOES carry, always. I started back when I was in the military and have continued ever since.

Men can walk away. Those that don't are pathetic excuses for men.

I believe domestic violence against men should be taken as seriously as domestic violence against women.

So do I.

Unfortunately we are in the minority as the general cultural attitude is that he is stronger so therefore should not use violence for fear of hurting her. Who cares if she is hurting him.

That point is repeated in this very thread.

Sadly in modern American culture many women and sadly some ``men" support a woman's right to assault a man without fear of arrest or self -- defense.

PS. I understand that the law is a law, and I do not encourage anyone to break the law. But there is no law against expressing sympathy.

I wish to present a scenario for discussion.

This involves three people, Jack, Marta, and Deborah.

Jack is in a committed romantic relationship with Marta, but Deborah wants Jack for herself.

so one day while jack is alone, Deborah comes on to him aggressively, pushing him against the wall and kissing him. he does not return the kiss, and gently pushes her away. He emphatically tells her that he is in love with Marta and is completely devoted to her and Deborah's advances are completely unwelcome.

She repeats it, once again, he again does not return her kiss, gently pushes her away and then slaps her hard in the cheek.

Is this the right way to rebuke such a circumstance? Or should he just run from her and avoid her?

I don't know what the right way to address this specific situation would be.

I have to wonder if Jack needs to be worried about Deborah getting some revenge for being rejected and slapped. All Deborah has to do is whisper in Marta's ear that she had to fight off a sexual advance by Jack and then stand back and watch everything unfold. I'd be worried if I were Jack.

It's really freaking me out that me and the woman sexually assaulting people have the same name.

By the way, here's what Whoopi Goldberg has to say on the matter.

And you see, that's the problem with the white hat mentality that women are so special. it only encourages and supports bad behavior they showed of that woman on the subway because they only excuse it and let her get away with it.

in a reasonable society, that kind of behavior should really not be allowed, of either men or women.
