Thread: More Christian hate for Gays. When will it end?! (4yo sings aint no homos...) [W: 93]

Using 4-year-olds, who can't possibly comprehend what they're doing, to spread one's hate is cowardly. That kind of vitriol that we hear about all the time will pretty much (but not completely) end only when it's considered as unacceptable as racist crap. I really don't see videos popping up weekly of pastors or anyone saying XYZ group will burn in hell, let's put them inside electric fence etc. With this issue for some reason religious indoctrination commonly is allowed to take hold of the very young.

LOTS of people do this. Look at some of the posts on this forum. BOTH scenarios are inaccurate and incorrectly depict the majority of both groups.

Well you see, that should be the case. But it simply doesn't explain why so many mainstream Christians and their leaders publicly rail upon homosexuality.

The Christian Churches that openly welcome gays are still the exception, not the rule.

That's not good. You don't use an example of two lesbians framing themselves as a tool to demonize the whole group of homosexuals. You don't use the words of one Christian zealot and use it to demonize whole groups of Christians.

You seem to think only progressive Christians are loving. Do you think Traditional mainstream Christians are hateful and bigoted for believing homosexuality is a sin? I wouldn't mind your comments if they condemned only the truly radical Christians like the WBC, but if you think to broaden your brush to smear all Christians who believe homosexuality is a sin, well, you've got tunnel vision.

Whatever you are doing, don't use the words of this Sean person to smear all Christians who believe homosexuality is sin. If you do that you lose credibility, quickly. Traditional Christians who believe homoseuality is sin are not radicals; only the fringe are radical.

Do you think all Christians who view homosexuality as a sin are radicals? Yes or no?

If you demonize a whole group then yes you'll lose credibility in my eyes. The same would be true if someone hated all homosexuals for the actions of some.
