Do hookers count? What if you were a hooker? Are we talking about any different partners? I'm asking because I'm worried.

Of course hookers count. Why wouldn't hookers count? Sex is sex. If you are suggesting that it doesnt count if you didn't enjoy it, I suspect we could all reduce our numbers a tad, even Bubba. But then again I can't remember stopping mid act because I had just thought of something more fun. I vote that the act counts and that includes oral sex among other things.

I have spent a lot of years single and not in committed relationships. Or they were committed and didn't last more than 6 months, usually not even that. I was married for 9 years and honored the marriage. I have never been big into cheating. It takes too much effort IMO, just not worth it. Maybe my ego just isn't big enough for the thrill of screwing someone over.

If you were to average it out, I would only be with 2-3 different women per year, and a lot of years that would be about right, with exception to being stationed in Wiesbaden Germany from 84-86. That should pretty much speak for itself. Not ashamed of the number because I have honored the LTR's I have had, and overall the life I have lived. I don't know the exact number, I never bothered to keep track. It is above average according to the article, but probably not of guys my age who have lived a similar life as I have.

Personally, I don't think some guy fingering me counts as sex. And I don't really think giving somebody a hand job counts, either.

Oral sex is iffy for me. I don't personally recall ever giving or receiving oral sex that didn't precede full on penetration or that wasn't part of a committed relationship, but I think its classification as full-on sex is debatable.

Would you say you weren't a virgin anymore if you were fingered or if somebody performed oral sex on you?

Yeah I would say that, I don't see any reason to not count oral sex, or fingering as sex. It's sexual contact with another person, that equals sex to me. Granted it might have to do with who I do have sex with, can't have a penis penetrating a vagina when there is no penis in the equation. But still I don't see how sexual contact with another person doesn't equal sex.

I knew that was not for me so I dumped the high school boyfriend and went to university in another city. I was pretty wild for many years, until one night a friend and I were being propositioned in a bar by a couple of gorgeous semi-pro athletes. My body was saying "yes, yes, yes!" but my mind was saying, "no, no, no!" I grabbed my friend and we ran out of the bar and hopped into a cab. On the way home I reflected on why I did what I did. The only conclusion that I came up with was that my mind was telling me it was time to act like a grown up (I was around 33 at the time ).

Ha! Not at all. It take a while to get over the guilt. But I think most of us make up for lost time.
