Hey all! I'm looking for a good browser that isn't Edge, Mozilla, or Chrome. I don't like Mozilla or Chrome and with Edge i can't get DP to work right. Whenever I try to open links on DP about 75% of the time I get a "cannot display page" or "blank" type of error. It's getting REALLY frustrating. Especially since being a Moderator I often have multiple tabs open for referencing purposes. Sad thing is that it only seems to happen with links that I open at DP. No where else does it do this. Two things that is a must for me is a spell checker that is either integrated with the browser or can be added on as an addon, and that I can have a favorites bar at the top as I find it to be really annoying to have to open up the favorites/bookmark panel in order to access my most common sites that I go to.

So...any suggestions?

Note: In case you don't know what Edge is its the newest browser that replaced Internet Explorer when Win 10 came out. So any suggested browser must be compatible with Win 10. :)

Sarari??

I don't see why you dislike Chrome but that' a you thing. There's Opera but that's never been great for me.

The Best Internet Browser Software of 2016 | Top Ten Reviews has a decent list of browsers for you.

Chrome complies with all of your needs. Can you say why you don't like it?

I like Opera.

I'm using the Sea Monkey variant of Mozilla in my PC at home with Win 10 installed over Win 7, I can have tabs galore open. I'm not at home to check, but I think you can set the maximim number of tabs open at one time. I have spell check and "drag and drop" favorites, plus Adblock. Also, I can make custom named folders in the favorites bar and drag and drop directly into the folders.

Every time I plan to leave it, I come crawling back!

Let's just say I always seem to get into trouble with it and leave it at that. ;) (something to do with gaming sites)

I've been through most browsers. Started with IE... which I cannot stand. Moved to Mozilla... then to Firefox which I used for a decade. Used Safari for a while and now Chrome. For features, I liked Firefox. For overall usability, Chrome can't be beat. If it's what you are doing, you may run into problems regardless of the browser that you use.

Try Silk or Yandex.

I like Opera.

I mostly use opera, but since after version 12 it is no longer it's own browser, but a reskinned chrome browser.

If you're getting issues on one site but with multiple browsers, it's very unlikely that the browsers are the problem. There's not a vast difference between the major browsers as far as basic website browsing goes so the choice is really down to personal preference on style, side features and available add-ons. I like Firefox but that's mainly because it's what I've become used to.

It's worth noting that a lot of the links people put up have mistakes in them because of the way the site handles them and people messing them up. I wouldn't say 75% but it's not an insignificant proportion.

I migrated from Firefox very recently and settled on Chrome. Sorry it hasn't been working out for you, though I have to be honest your incompatibility issue between Chrome and DP doesn't make any sense to me. I'm not a real computer guy, but if I had to guess you probably have some cookie setting that's set the two at odds. If it were me I'd go through every privacy/tracking/cookie setting to see what the issue might be. Also, start turning on and off each of the extensions to make sure none of them are the issue. More often than not it turns out something like Ghostery, Adblock or Ublock is gumming up the works.

As to Opera, it's a little bit faster, but there aren't enough necessary extensions for it yet. When all the extensions that I can get on Chrome can be found on Opera, I'll most likely be moving on to that. Unfortunately, they don't even have a 1password extension, which counts it right the hell out.
