I think there's trees there somewhere. The King's Chamber blocks came from as far away as 500 miles. There was a definate system for getting wooden rollers and such. Ok, I have no reason to doubt your claim however I want to be the first one to see the film...I'll bring the popcorn. Quote: |
With modern technology. Have you ever tried such a system with a 70 ton stone?
| They had a lot of people. Just scale my methods up. My record is a 12 ton vault door. just me and one other guy. I'll get to the 70 ton blocks soon. But after I decribe how the majority of the pyramid was built. Quote: |
Why is it neccessary to set up a massive system of rolling logs and battering rams when it's cheaper, more simplistic, and more productive to use Elephants?
| Well, I had no Elephants when I was moving safes and I managed to move quite a few. Quote:
I have. Compared to the pyramids constructed in the rest of the world and to that of Giza, the other Egyptian pyramids are exteremely primitive. Hannibal would love you.
| I'm in no way opposed when it comes to using Elephants to pull the blocks from the quarries 500 yards away to the pyramid. But as you'll see later they would have a little trouble with what I propose was they way the blocks got up the pyramid. What do you want next? Blocks up the pyramid or blocks from quarries to the pyramid? |

Not taking away from your theory, I have a question that I JUST thought of...
Would it be possible that the stones were originally chiseled as balls and rolled downhill to the pyramid site, then chiseled into blocks onsite, as closest to where they will end up as possible?
Also, a general question...
Just like your sexual preferences....were there any animals involved?... |

Rollers work fine thank you. Quote:

| No ramps anywhere. I put the ramp theory to shame. My method uses 2020 blocks to get the highest stone set. Two ramp theories. First is one big straight one. Problem is it takes more material to build the ramp than in the pyramid. Second is a spiral ramp. Doesn't account for the placement of the casing stones and the blocks would travel a much greater distance than my way. And with much more danger. And other problems we'll get to. |

No mention of shipments of vast quantities of wood to Egypt. Quote: |

Building ramps would be considerably more cost-effective instead of going through x number of logs etc.
It's insanely crude but it's the best I can do on Paint |

"No ramps for you. No ramps for me. No ramps for the Egyptians".
They didn't have the A.D.A. back then.
(In the voice of Tom Hank's in "A League Of Their Own").
"There's no wheelchairs in pyramid building".

Bear in mind this only shows steps and not bracing and support of steps. The steps switchback like a mountain road. Each level of the pyramid was completely finished, then the steps for, say row two, where added to get blocks up to row three. |

1st drawing is a view of the steps.
2nd is hidden lines of the steps
3rd is hidden lines of inverted casing stones.
4th is a side view of the steps.
5th is a not to scale rendering to give the overall concept of stairs as they relate to the pyramid. |
