It does not give complete control still, the person needs crutches to have proper balance. But it is fantastic to enable wheelchair-borne ppl to walk. Imagine if u r paralyzed from waist down and u can walk with this. Lots of ppl will give anything to.

There are actually working prototypes of powered exoskeletons designed to augment strength right now. Berkeley has one designed to let a soldier carry extremely heavy loads and I saw a demo video of one that let a soldier move around 200 pound ammo boxes like they weighed nothing. With better battery technology and no hideous interference from defense industry corruption, it might end up a reality.
