Ever notice that cows all face the same direction when out in the pasture feeding? Turns out that they are attuned to Earth's magnetic field. Also turns out that many other animals have a north to south alignment - Deer, elk, and many other animals, also have a north to south alignment (Tip to hunters - Always try to get east of your target. Shooting it will then be a breeze).
This phenomenon also applies to humans. Notice how one sub-species of homo sapiens, known as immigrantis illegalis, always moves from south to north, while another sub-species, called agentis immigrationis, always moves north to south, frequently moving alongside a larger number of immigrantis illegalis in handcuffs.
