Get the same effect from assembling it in orbit and then dropping it into the atmosphere. It'll sink until it hits that equilibrium point, and then float unassisted. Could use navigational propellers to control the descent, since you'd need them to control where the habitat floated in the Venusian winds.

The atmosphere of Venus features unending and quite violent magnetic/electrical events. Even dropping a robust lander (with extreme protection and redundancy) through the troubled Venusian atmosphere is very dicey at best. The Soviets will certainly attest to this difficulty.

If were going to coloinize mars we need some practice first, aka the moon. Thats NASA's plan try on the moon then move to mars. But first we do need space elevators, they can cut the cost of traviling into space by half. Also to go to mars you would need faster ships. i forget how long it takes to get to mars at its closet range, it might be 6 months but im not sure but that is way to long. And the human body slows down in space and decreases. You lose bone calcium and many other things. It has its challenges but i belive well get it done in MY life time. Though some of you might not see it.
