MH370 search: families of passengers to comb Madagascar beaches for clues
I post this here for lack of some sort of Enduring Mystery forum.
This is pathetically sad and is ultimately due to the incredible incompetence and mendacity of the Malaysian government.
The families know for a fact that they've been lied to by those nominally in charge of the investigation, so they conclude that more can now be discovered than is, in fact, possible.
To me it's absolutely inconceivable that they could possibly find anything of use. Maybe it has some therapeutic value. But investigative value? Nope.
There are a handful of plausible explanations for MH370, though most don't quite explain everything that is known for sure. And -- barring near-miracles -- that's the way it's going to stay forever.
