A few years ago Boston Dynamics revealed big dog, which unnervingly moved like a living thing. Now they've come out with this:

The future is coming. This kind of thing is going to lead to endless applications, if people can get used to having them around. It stands at 5'9 and weighs 180lbs.

Creepy or cool? I'll let you decide.

latest

lol

More seriously, however, yeah. That's pretty damn cool. I really wasn't expecting to see such an efficient bipedal robot design so soon.

Any word on it's battery life?

It's cool.
It'll be creepy when I see one of those things building another one.

Amazing. Especially the balance the robot maintains in the forest ! Too bad it can't interact with it's environnement without those QR-code type stickers. No doubt, it's only a matter of time before it can do with them .

That is pretty cool. Thx.

wow, that thing was cool..... and creepy....

I remember reading a scientific article when I was young of this scientist saying we will never have bi pedal robots, it's impossible.... I wonder what they are thinking now?

They need to put a self-defense program on that thing- I wanna see it fight back against the guy with the hockey stick. :2razz:
