if this scientist is correct, than both turkey and russia are lying about the russian jet.

It’s rare to see physics being used as an effective tool to comment on current events, but astrophysicists Tom van Doorsslaere and Giovanni Lapenta of the Belgian KU Leuven used some simple Newtonian mechanics to show that both the Russian and Turkish accounts of what happened with the downed jet can’t be right.

That's good assumptions based upon science. Aircraft can still function depending on where they were hit and what with. It an retain some maneuverability that can counter gravity and air resistance. So without that taken into account also, its impossible to know unless they are able to find out that info.

there was video showing one of the planes going down in flames.

yea but those flames could have been ignited fuel that was flowing out and behind it like a tail, probably was. It's really hard to tell from a distant video. I been around planes most of my life and have spoken to vets who used to be pilots in Vietnam and stuff. Most of them took hits, just depended on where and what it was. Never know, and chacnes are Russia probably won't go through much investigation on it lol. They are probably just contemplating on how to exploit the situation to their advantage.
