"Peer review" [W:46]

....And nothing but rhetoric. Thanks for playing.
I DID play.. with Gusto.
You could Not answer a single Thing.
You WHIFFED.

And let me save you a few years you (along with us) are apparently doomed for.
There is No logical case to be made for to be made for god/gods. Period.
Many/Most believers here understand this, and don't try. They understand this is personal Faith.
Some, who are off the deep end, do try. It necessarily ends up badly: ie, in this case, with your disingenuous trolling.

No here you are talking about a 'subjective' standard and that of course is something completely different. Its links to actual history are tenuous to non existant

That's your story, and it's not even close to being true, or objective.

What, you can't sit in on this discussion, so it's "trolling"? How about if you actually stick to the topic at hand instead of spamming the thread, trying to start something?

How does one prove faith when it is something that can not be seen? You can't. But for the believer it is something that is confirmed over and over again through the Holy Spirit for the one who earnestly seeks G-d.

I do believe there are many false teachings today because many follow men instead of seeking G-d.

There are those who have made their choices and do not believe in G-d. That is there choice and I do not wish to debate the issue with them. Instead I pray for them. I have seen so many miracles in my lifetime I would love to share but am not going to do so for it would be trampled on here by others. They were Holy moments and I want to keep them that way. But it will never ever stop me from praising my G-d on a public forum or anywhere else. Besides I believe only G-d has the power to change another man's heart. I don't have such power so why bother getting involved in a word war.

I learned through the book of Leviticus how G-d taught his people what being holy meant. And much of the laws were about protecting them from disease and destruction so they could be strong and fit to be a light to the rest of the world. Leviticus isn't something taught in most Christian churches but it should be. I studied G-d's calendar and all the feasts a festivals set aside for a purpose. His calendar is prophetic. I see the Spring feasts have been fulfilled in the Messiah and the growing and harvest of believers occurring representing the Church, and now the remaining Fall Feasts are about the Jewish people once again. I believe the era of the Church is winding down to its end. The Spring Feasts were the beginning of the Church and the first believers were Jews. And G-d's calendar and the Fall feasts ends with his chosen people where this time they will recognize their Messiah.

It is going to get very ugly before that happens. I am seeing the stage being set from what is happening in the Middle East. All the political pundits and "experts" are not the ones one should be listening to unless they understand G-d is the one in control. He will put into office what leader is needed to fulfill His prophecy.

I am off topic now but felt a need to go there.

I like to eat fried clams and I often wear clothing made of different fabrics. Am I damned to hell? I was once told by an Orthodox Jew that some Orthodox Jews believe the Holocaust was God's punishment to the Jews for abandoning some of the trivial laws in the Bible, that the Jews deserved the punishment and the Nazis were only doing God's work. Is that a common belief?

what you did just here is make yourself look like an arse.

Oh true so true......

For you do not encompass the spiritual meaning of those things you mock.

Of course I did not encompass the spiritual meaning. I am an agnostic, raised as a Christian, and know very little about the Jewish religion. But I did not intend to mock them and I apologize if it appeared that way. My questions were serious.

You first. I get tired of you guys constantly begging the question then asking us to prove you wrong.

I would rather think it is not so much asking other to prove them wrong, but rather, to show that your claims are right. That is much different.

What claim did I make in the OP that requires proof? The problem with these guys is that they always want to argue the point that no one has made, then complain when I don't take the bait.

How about if you start with your opening post for one, and addressing the straw man you put in there?

What straw man is that? I thought about inserting a partial explanation here but I think I'll oblige you to tell me what you think it is.

The entire post one was straw man. It is misrepresenting the times when 'peer reviewed' is required for one.

You'really going to have to show me why the whole post is a straw man, I am not going to take your word for it.

Well, that's the point.. you are making a leap between'when do people wan't peer review', to when they don't. You are misrepresenting when they do, so it's a straw man.. and then you build up this false idea about what motivates people to want peer review, and call it hypocrisy

And you are misrepresenting my position, forget about the "peer review" description if it bothers you, why should people want expert opinion on one hand and not on the other?

As I said in my first post to you:

It's not "peer review" that's the problem, it's Lack of Any real world EVIDENCE to review.

One can be a Theology Scholar/Expert, but then you are talking about someone who is an Expert in a Closed system/Myth/specific and acknowledged dogma.

There are indeed highly educated Experts in all the different religions. (Most of which have Contradictory creation Myths)
We can all acknowledge they're Experts in what, ie, the Bible says: ie, what's the best reading.
But unlike science, that has Nothing to do with Reality: they are knowledgable in a non-reality/Faith based field.

Therein the fallacious attempt at equivalence/ostensible "hypocrisy."
I also acknowledge experts on the Writings of Shakespeare, Norse Myths, etc, but, UNlike science they have NOTHING to say about reality, just closed systems/fields.

But You're still trolling as if you hadn't been answered in your Wrong-headed attempt to point out Hypocrisy.

All that and you missed the point again! You are arguing against a case no one has tried to make, talk about a straw man argument!

I answered you again 100%.
People don't care about Experts in Tiny corners of academia that have NO bearing on Reality. ie Bible.

I answered you by Acknowledging "experts" on Biblical Text.
You Deny you were answered!
What does one call that 'disingenuity.' (a kind word I'm using due to the section we're in)
An expert opinion on the Bible's text, however, does NOT refute an expert opinion on Any science.
This is not 'Hypocrisy,' this is your FAILED attempt to equate your Faith-based belief system with a Reality-based one
.

What's amazing to too is how short you necessarily keep your posts/denialism.
Any elaboration of your point would just open you to yet more refutation.. and you know it.
So you one-line troll by saying someone didn't answer... when they did.

I keep my posts short because I am writing them on a phone, and a refutation from you is irrelevant because you're not even on the same topic!
