As you can tell by my signature i am a 'wiccan' of sorts, and have found happiness in her. i find she fills me with natural energy and joy, joy that is lost on other religions in purity, being the 'earth mother' she must surely be concerned with all life here on earth. i find that if we pray to her, and, bring her into our decision making, she will guide us on a different path then praying to Jesus, but, it will be equally 'rewarding.' actually, i find it more exciting and vibrant, like spring, when all life wakes up to a brand new cycle of life.

I keep referring to nature because i believe that she is the force behind all life on earth, at least the animals and plants and insects and things like that. if we were to observe genesis, we would find that nature was created on the third day, and she is the third planet from the sun, so it is vague, i know, but it makes sense, yes?

Now, i would like to hear from others on the forum that have something to say about my god, that i serve as often as i can, and how they feel about her. please be honest, i will try to defend my position and find new 'light' in your views, okay? :aliens3:

Believe what you will as long as it makes you want to be a better person.

PS: Why would you seek validation for your belief on an internet forum that is populated by strangers to you anyway?

Well, i like to justify my beliefs and be taught other points of view.

From what you explained in your OP, you made a comparison between your god and Jesus - and you seem to want the alternate path that your god will lead you to when it comes to decision-making.

If you're not happy with Jesus, and you claim to be satisfied with Gaia.....

Why do you have the need to justify your belief?

Okay, okay, maybe i am being paranoid? but, there are those that will try to deny you your beliefs and beat an apology out of you. or, maybe i am trying to 'recruit?'

Are you an atheist? if you are, i bet i can convince you to become a wiccan! just ask me anything, and i will answer your questions, i am certain.

I am a Christian.

Believe whatever gibberish you prefer to but if you make any money of it it's fraud.

If you have given away any money as a result of this drivel you have been defrauded. Sucker.

You should be considered unfit to sit on a jury or vote. In my humble opinion.

OK, since we both consider the God of the Christians to be a made up con job; what do you have in your religion that is more convincing than the Christian utter drivel? Or the stupid Hindu gibberish?

I am a bonafide fraudster. i promise. this is a declaration of guilt. i have researched my views on the internet, a free resource. i don't care about jury duty, who cares what i think?

So, let's go!

I worship my god because she makes me happy. why do you worship your god?

Because of His love and His promise. My focus isn't on what's of this earth.

I would offer you forget about validation and defense for your system of belief. Not really worth it in the end as most will hold on to their system of belief just as I suspect you will in defense of your position on their understandings.

It is something that cannot possibly end well given how often competition between and defense of systems of belief turn into an epic mess.

Oh, okay. if you were to bond with the natural world, you will feel a new truth and promise. if you were to only have animals to be your friends you will know where i am coming from, well, it was either that or submit to a dynasty of what i find to be rejects. the people i have met, that call themselves satanic Christians, are what keeps me from exploring a beautiful world. all i have is my garden where i can get honest unmodified answers from the real forces of the world, as people resist the natural order when it rejects them.

So, you have faith. do you know why you have faith? it is because you have been force fed it, and it is the root of your denial of accepting that you are a bad person. i think, that, people that accept Christ as their savior are afraid of change within themselves. this is true for all major religions - being accepted and praised for submitting to society is the real objective, as you don't want to end up in your garden do you?

Now, if you were to have questions about Christianity, anything at all, even though the heading is Gaia, then ask away. post me a challenge! then, you i will learn, or you will learn, or we will repeat what others say - you must have some questions, yes?

You know, I dabbled around in your neo-pagan religion a while before becoming Christian and you couldn't be further off base.

I'll get back to you as soon as I think of something that you can't search for in Google.

So, let's go!

I worship my god because she makes me happy. why do you worship your god?

Why worship the lesser creation? God created the earth and the earth is temporal not infinite.
So why worship something that won't last?

God is forever and ever. He gives light to the darkness and hope to the hopeless.
Even the earth sings His praise.

I like your attitude, i took all the texts and arts and refined it into sciences that can be proven, have you seen my other threads on this site about philosophy and religion? it is rather quick to read and easy to understand, and you may judge my stuff on that, before you ask me any questions if you wish. i have already proven that my version of god is scientifically validated and supported, using astrology as a base for understanding.

I know there are many differing approaches to wicca and paganism, but i took the introductions of each and found that they wold be a mess if they tried to combine them into one message. if we were to acknowledge that the only commandment in wicca is to not harm anything, then we could adjust that to be, not harming your gods feelings, not harming your spouses trust in you, and so forth.

There is a common message in all religions, as, they build moral fiber in many ways. i actually worship every god i hear of to find out how they make me feel inside, and, call it a hunch, of course.

Okay, can you give me a definition of, for example, he is a trinity?

I have no wish to "bond" with the world, or anything worldly. My focus is not of this world.

Perhaps you should browse the past threads since I've already discussed repeatedly about my faith....thank you for responding to my question.

So you reject the world god made for you to enjoy?

Or, do you deny yourself a moment of joy and peace in favor of servitude, by the examples set forth in the bible, especially the book of acts with the "fellowship of believers,"

Or, do you desire a place in heaven so much you refuse to switch your 'opinions' and 'beliefs' and stay true to what you feel or know is righteous?

Or, can you explain it better? why not quote the bible for your answer, it is a art book, but maybe we can decode it to be the writes real message for english speakers?

Well, since i found myself empty at the thought of being a satanist, looking for something new and exciting. that would be, more or less, since Junish 2008.

Were you ever a Christian/Jew/Muslim/Hindu?

Yes i was, was not, but will still come to be... :fyi:

Cool.

Thanks for answering my questions.

I kinda get the impression that you really don't know what you are in terms of religion and are still kind of casting about looking for something that speaks to you.

I think you've hit on Wicca for now but will likely abandon that at some point in the not too distant future to chase something else.

You'll meet a new girl, or a new best friend, or the direction the wind is blowing will shift, and you'll start calling yourself a Sikh and wrapping a turban around your head, insisting that now you really know the answer.

Not that I think that there's anything wrong with that, mind you, everyone has their search (even if they stick with the same thing their parents taught them).

In any event, good luck to you.

I hope you eventually find something you can stick with.
