Today marks two years that Pastor Saeed Abedini has been imprisoned in Iran, and vigils were held in 27+ countries yesterday/today to pray for him and for others who are in peril. Franklin Graham, Naghmeh Abedini Hold Prayer Vigil For Pastor Saeed Abedini, Imprisoned In Iran

Linked from HuffPo is an incomplete list of places where vigils were held. I say incomplete because the one in my community wasn't on the list.

Last year President Obama called the Iranian President to urge him release Abedini. I wish he would ask again and that we and the world would put more pressure on Iran.

Yeah, that **** is ****ed up. I hope he, and everyone imprisoned unfairly, gets out.

Yes, so do I.

I attended my community's vigil this evening and saw a video during which Pastor Abedini's wife read a letter he'd written in prison to his 6-year old daughter. I was reminded a little of Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
