Demons are the topic tonight on the late night radio talk show Coast to Coast with George Noory. I have heard a similar one a couple of years back, and it was frightening. Get in bed, turn off the lights, tune in on your local station and listen up to what they are talking about. What are your thoughts on these nefarious creatures? Any experience with them? Readers want to know! I don't like believing in them myself, though the way I say that line is a sure give-away. *wink*

Home - Coast to Coast AM

Hey! Thanks for this. I haven't heard him in ages. Maybe tonight's the night. Sounds Entertaining.

Boo!

They are incredibly easy to find if one knows where and how to look. If one goes looking for them, willingly, don't expect anyone to come to your rescue.

I was trying to remember George Noory's name just a few weeks ago when I read the conspiracy theory about the Georgia snow being "fake snow" and part of a government experiment.

Although I think all the zombie stuff is just silly, I don't joke around about demons. One of my mother's friends grew up in the same neighborhood as the little boy who was the real subject of The Exorcist, and I had an experience once that convinced me not to ever, ever joke again. Ever.

This is why knowledge of the enemy is vital.

If you ever do, command them in Jesus' name to begone.

Don't even have to believe in Jesus. All you have to have faith in is lots of OTHER people believe in Jesus and this particular invocation. Should work for most Christians no problem.

From everything ive ever learned, all actual entities (distinguished from reality "scar" apparitions like most ghosts) require at least some belief in them or at least the possibility of them to act in our realm. This belief element makes them susceptible to ALL belief systems "wards".

(Absolutely insane, unbelievable series of entity AND poltergeist events when i was about six. Way too long to get into here. But it removed all doubt that the world is much stanger than it appears to most people almost all the time)

I have never experienced anything remotely supernatural, though I'd love to. Seeing is believing, and I want to believe. While back, before the kids, ghost/demon hunting was a hobby I per sued every weekend. I've been to the most haunted places around in CT, found nothing. Cemeteries, nothing.

So....

Demonology is a "science" concocted by demons, about demons, with the explicit purpose of leading the spiritually unwary to demons.

Any person who wants to mess around with that kind of thing is welcome to it. I, however; wouldn't touch anything even remotely related to such subjects with a ten foot pole.

Why tempt fate?

In my experience, skepticism tends to suppress.

It really does seem like consciousness interacts with "reality" like the quantum physicists are seeing. Everybody has had the bad day that gets worse in direct proportion to how upset they are about it. To the point the coincidences get too improbable and too close together.

Tbere also tends to be more than one phenomenon at play. I think most repetitive, traditional "ghost" sightings are glimpses of "scars" or "imprints" on the fabric of reality. Not entities but like a little gif of a particularly powerful event.

Entities that interact may well be thought forms of various kinds. Not "true" entities like "souled" things but creations of strong focus and belief. Even "spiritual" visitors would don similarly constructed forms.

So maybe try to think about from an EXTREME extrapolation of consciousness interacting with "reality". Learn about these ides if you haven't. Then consider what becomes plausible, even remotely, if "reality" IS some kind of INTERACTION between consciousness and the "outside" universe.

This may allow you to perceive things your internal structures and filters simply don't put through. We only perceive a tiny fraction of the raw data our senses gather.

I used to try to catch his show now and then, just because it was something different to think about. As for the subject of demons, I tend to suspect it's usually just a case of human emotions-gone-out-of-control, and maybe people just letting impulses of their own, which they have tried hard to deny, and kept stuffed and concealed, be expressed. I've never seen evidence of anything otherwise.

I have had experiences which many would consider supernatural several times. It hasn't really made me believe anything that I didn't think was already a possibility- it just added a different dimension to my life, and to how I process information about the world as I see it.

Not even the big guy Himself.

Imo, that is an excellent explanation. That is pretty much exactly the impression I have, but I couldn't come up with an adequate mental image to express it. Thanks!

Demons won't lead anyone to salvation in the Biblical Jesus. They'll lead people to a false Jesus, or to some other religion, but they won't lead people to repentance and salvation.

I don't know anything about demonology, other than what you've stated, but there's no doubt to me about its validity as a science. I could tell some stories about angels and demons b'cause there's been more events in my life than anyone should have. I wouldn't know where to begin, as each was profound and affecting as the other. So I'll just list some types of experiences that were a frequent occurance in my life: ghost&demon house presence, telepathic hypnosis, astral projection, seeing/being told the future, astral sex, astral attacks, dimensional travel (O.O.B.E), angel visitations, collective consciousness (once tapped into it and it affected my life more than anything), telepathic conversation, sleep paralysis, and a few events that are way to crazy to mention.

I didn't truly believe in angels until one hovered above my stomach. It appeared as a bright blue orb, the size of a beach ball and glowed brighter than anything I've ever seen. At the time, I was living in a constant state of fear and then this angel appeared and took all the problems away. Never had those problems since. Angels got some serious kungfu

Hey guys, I'm a vampire. Do I count as a demon?

You need to call the show right now! It is 9 in the morning here in Sweden, so that means it is 2am there on the east coast of the US, the show is on. That would be great stuff to share. Regretfully, I can't get it here. Wait, I suppose I could try the internet and listen through a station there in the states. Maybe that will work. Its daylight here now, and Sunday morning, so I should be safe enough to listen without shivering.

"Demon", as it is being applied here, is a Christian invention, and comes from Solomon the King who worked with entities that he called daemon (according to the latin understanding). Rarely, if ever, do malevolent entities cause harm to humans, and when they do it's under very specific conditions which most modern people will never experience in their lifetimes. You have to really seek something more powerful than yourself to find it, usually calling it by name. Anyone who does this deserves what they get.

Most other phenomena are merely astral low lives, or forces created by an experiencer (i.e. poltergeists) who believes they are being attacked by something sentient. Humans in general are on a density of vibration that is considerably stronger than these non-material forces. Often merely using your voice will repel them. You don't need to call on Jesus, or whoever.

More often than not, the modern talk of "demons" is an attempt to lend expert license and authority to pretenders who really don't know what they are talking about; and often it's to justify various Biblical mythos that have no presence in real esoteric sciences.

Maybe you should have called into the show as well. Would have been great, if only I could get the broadcast here on the internet, but not able.

In my nights working as a security guard on the third shift, wrapped in polyester, sporting a plastic badge and walkie-talkie on my hip, I grew to appreciate the loons of Coast to Coast AM.

Demons are very real. They seem to be the FALLEN ANGELS that were cast down with Lucifer. The Bible has lots of references to demons.
There were people possessed by demons in the Bible. The very inhumane and gory atrocities committed by individuals (or groups) in all parts of the world could've been done by people possessed by demons.

Just out of curiousity, for those who claimed to have experiences with "angels"......how do you know it was indeed an angel?
What made you believe it was an angel?

Arent demons usually found at the bottom of a bottle?

If you ever do, command them in Jesus' name to begone.

Don't even have to believe in Jesus.

How does that work?

If someone is going to use Jesus whom he doesn't believe in, as his weapon to fight off a demon.....wouldn't that be like waving a plastic gun at someone who wants to do him harm?

I suppose....when a non-believer suddenly comes face to face with a real demon - all supernaturals suddenly become real to him. That includes God/Jesus.
I guess, He must've become an instant believer. When one gets to that point of asking Jesus to help him, he must've reached the point of finally believing in Him - the reality of the demon convinced him.

I think one has to have some conviction that his weapon will work?
Perhaps Jesus will help a non-believer just so to show him He is real, that He can be relied on. That He is most powerful.

But of course, these are all speculations on my part.
