This guy is pretty fascinating (beyond the name).

At age 11, he claims he was initiated as a tribal priest and participated in his first human sacrifice. During the course of the three-day ritual that followed, Blahyi says that he had a vision in which he was told by the Devil that he would become a great warrior and that he should continue to practice human sacrifice and cannibalism to increase his power

Blahyi now claims he would regularly sacrifice a victim before battle, saying, "Usually it was a small child, someone whose fresh blood would satisfy the devil." He explained to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "Sometimes I would enter under the water where children were playing. I would dive under the water, grab one, carry him under and break his neck. Sometimes I'd cause accidents. Sometimes I'd just slaughter them."[SUP][9][/SUP] In January 2008 Blahyi confessed to taking part in human sacrifices which "included the killing of an innocent child and plucking out theheart, which was divided into pieces for us to eat."

So eventually he claims that Jesus appeared to him, he confessed his sins and he became an evangelical Christian. He is now a preacher who seeks out the relatives of his victims and asks forgiveness.

This is what I don't get about his conversion.
While visiting a local church, he claims to have heard the “voice of God” telling him to “fast 54 days for his deliverance”. After the fast, “God gave him spiritual powers to preach”. Blahyi also says that “Jesus Christ appeared to him, spoke to him as a son, and told him that he would die unless he repented his sins”. Since this time, Joshua Milton Blahyi’s life has revolved around preaching Christianity. He is now the President of the End Time Train Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. and he appears to be doing quite well (at least in comparison to his peers). Aside from his organization’s contributions and accomplishments, Blahyi has published an autobiography and has been the focal point for numerous documentaries and publication pieces. Blahyi says when he goes out to preach now, he sometimes encounters relatives of his victims. “I feel very bad, so bad”, he says, but he insists it was “satanic powers that possessed him in the past and he cannot be held responsible”.

I'm not entirely certain , but I think that is all that matters these days.

Does it matter? He recognizes his previous actions were wrong, and he has vowed both not to repeat them and to make amends for them as best he can.

Sacrificing human children in the name of Satan? Not responsible.

Sexual attraction toward the same sex? Completely responsible.

It makes sense to me. :mrgreen:
