What are some of the good religions throughout this world?

Judaism?

Islam?

Hinduism?

Buddhism?

Mormonism?

Jehovah Witness?

Taoism?

Shintoism?

Confucianism?

Sikh?

Baha'i?

Zoroastrianism?

Jainism?

Shamanist?

What do you like about these religions?

It depends on the person. Some people prefer no religion at all. Some find what they need in one faith and never look elsewhere. Overall, it depends on the person more than the religion.

I am a Zen Buddhist. It am very satisfied with Zen. That doesn't mean anyone else would be very satisfied with Zen and I am not bothered by that at all.

The thread title is a bit presumptuous, isn't it? Either way, what's the criteria for a "good" religion?

I like the variety in Japanese mythological creatures, from the icy ghosts who may either help lost travelers find their way or prey on them for their body heat, to the giant earthquake-causing catfish that swims beneath the earth.

Shinto shrines look killer, too.

I tend toward the eastern versions, especially Zen Buddhism and Taoism as far as the philosophy is concerned. For the more easily recognized religions in this part of the world, I like Judaism as a general rule. I have no problem with Christianity, except that some of what is taught, I have trouble accepting, because I don't believe in Heaven and Hell as actual places, but rather as states of mind. I have a friend/acquaintance who is Sikh, and that religion seems to contribute to a fine human nature, so that would be one that I like the effects of, although I know very little about the details of it.

I dunno.... I still can't wrap my head around using the word "good," and the word "religion," in the same sentence.

I'll get back to ya ;)

What I like about them is that they have not prevented- and probably contributed a lot to - making of the characters and minds of my dear friends and relatives, be it Judaism, Sufi Islam, Hinduism, or - in the case of my better half - the mixed Shinto/Buddhist background.

As an ex-Catholic atheist, I gave up on looking at religion as a source of truth or happiness. But it is an integral part of our human experience, and people who surround us are what they are because of their (or their forefather's) religions, among other things. Some people who "surround me" I like a lot.

As the man said, "You shall know them by their fruits".

Big fan of Buddhism and Daoism. I like them because of their philosophy. Sure, they sort of have their own deities, but their philosophy is what I like and really is the foundation of the belief system.

You got it my friend. That was one country that even the communist couldn't do away with religion. Even the Pathet Lao were good buddhist.

Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses are Christian.

To be honest I don't know much about other religions aside from Judaism.

They're all in the box. Christ is Risen!

They're all in the box. Praise be to Allah!

Depends how you define "good" religion ... I mean what is the definition? Moral teachings? Truth? What?

To nominate a religions as 'good', you'd have to therefore assume other religions may be 'bad'. Dualistic thinking. Buddhism teaches us to see through the either-or distinctions of good and bad, hence the OP questions makes no sense and cannot be answered.
