The sacrament of ordination is a gift given by God through His Holy Church (See: Catechism of the Catholic Church 1579). Only a baptized man can receive the sacrament of ordination (See: catechism of the Catholic Chirch 1577). This CANNOT CHANGE (See: Id.). Hope that clears everything up.

why can it not change?

Says who?

And they are wrong. See how easy that was?

Go start your own church, then. But your mere assertion accomplishes nothing, since it is contrary to the will of God. You can assert 1+1=3 all you want but it doesn't make it so.

Go start your own Church, then.

I'm just pointing out the silliness of quoting church doctrine as fact, as if it is literally impossible for a female to be ordained.

Church doctrine IS FACT. What's silly is asserting your own opinion as if it is of any significance.

Sure it can change. Just join the Episcopal Church or the Methodist Church, etc.

That is heresy. Certain heretical sacraments can be valid, mind you, but an invalid sacrament is always invalid. A Protestant baptism is a valid sacrament. A Protestant ordination is not typically valid without proper apostolic succession, and it can NEVER be valid if it is a female.

Because then the Church will have to admit that ALL men, not just those who don't get the funny hats are fallible and capable of making mistakes.

In the 1500's the Catholic church was under attack from Protesters and many knew a reform was needed but rather than attempt an internal reform the Holy Mother Church doubled down in it's pronouncements.

it is worth noting that the very early Church have no hard and fast rule excluding women from Church duties, it has been more a case of secular traditions marking the wall between men and women than what Jesus said.

The Church could easily declare there is no reason why priests can't marry, why women can't be priests, and even if one line in the Old Testament says something about men lying with other men- the New Testament points out the power of forgiveness as well as suffer all of Gawd's children to come unto Him.

This is the religion forum. Kindly take your criticisms to the Catholic faith to the appropriate forum.

Pro-Catholic troll threads are still troll threads.

It's not a troll thread, although your post certainly looks like a troll post. The purpose of this thread is the clarify a common misconception, that change on the issue of female ordination is possible. It is not.

Everything changes. This will, too.

Roman Catholic Womenpriests are at the forefront of a model of service that offers Catholics a renewed priestly ministry in vibrant grassroots communities where all are equal and all are welcome. The voice of the Catholic people---the sensus fidelium---has spoken. We women are no longer asking for permission to be priests. Instead, we have taken back our rightful God-given place ministering to Catholics as inclusive and welcoming priests.

Yes, we have challenged and broken the Church's Canon Law 1024, an unjust law that discriminates against women. Despite what some bishops may lead the faithful to believe, our ordinations are valid because we are ordained in apostolic succession within the Roman Catholic Church.

The Catholic people have accepted us as their priests and they continue to support us as we grow from the seven bold women first ordained on the Danube River in 2002. Ordained women are already ministering in over 29 states across the country. We are here to stay.

Roman Catholic Womenpriests - Welcome!

Nice try though.

Religions have changed many times throughout the millenia. I don't happen to find it gives them much credence, but then, I don't really care either. If the people that run the faith want a certain practice changed then consider it changed and if they don't then don't expect a change. If they want to start including women in things only for men then consider it changed. If you don't want to do that then leave the church and believe without worrying about what the church does. All religions have to change for the times to survive or otherwise they would fade into the past and people would find their way without it. Again, I don't really care about any of this, but its interesting how religions say to follow the bible and overtime have left more and more parts of it behind.

No, not everything changes. God and His Holy Sacraments are eternal and unchanging. So it is false to say this will change too, and also betrays a fundamental ignorance of the pertinent theological underpinnings of sacrament of ordination as taught by the Catholic Church.

at one time were services not presented in latin, and this was changed?

You can criticize the Catholic church in this forum all you want, what you can't do is criticize the belief in God.
