Another example of the sweet, kind non violent religion and its beliefs.

Time and time again, over and over, repeated incidents of violence...honor killings over religious beliefs and much more...heres but another horrific incident...that im sure will be poo pooed away by some.

32-year-old Sara Ege, a Muslim woman living in Cardiff, Wales, is accused of beating her seven-year-old son to death with a stick and trying to cover up the crime by setting him on fire.

The gruesome incident occurred in the family home in Pontcanna, following repeated acts of physical abuse in the past months. The Daily Mail describes how the woman was becoming increasingly frustrated with her son, Yaseen Ali, as he was struggling with learning the Koran.

Ege is a university graduate, and insisted her son become a Hafiz – an advanced student of Islam that can recite the entire Koran by heart.

The woman confessed to the abuse, but pleaded not guilty to charges of murder. The child's father stands beside her, stating he had no knowledge of the abuse.

This is sad, indeed.

I always like to point out that christians used to be like this. im sure glad they have evolved.

It's time to stop treating individuals as evidence that something is wrong with an entire religion. I'm sick of it. ****ing sick of it. Why don't people ever post the stories of the good things Muslims have done and say "another example of the sweet, kind non violent religion and its beliefs." Those don't count? Only the bad things exemplify the religion? Really?

It's confirmation bias coupled with the fact that positive stories don't sell ad space.

These stories are true in Christianity - such as the women who gouged out her child's eyes because the Bible says it is better to puck out an eye than to sin.

They are sick people. Parents violently abusing and assaulting and murdering their child is for all sorts of sicko reasons, usually not religion.

They didn't. Insane people still exist in every demographic.

LOL. Sure they did. But you dont have to believe it if you dont want to.

Shall I dig up countless articles of abuse and negligence due to a family's christian faith, like foregoing life saving treatment for faith healing allowing children to die, EVERY YEAR?

This is a reply to Deuce, right?

No, you. Stories like this, insane people like this, still exist among Christians. The same goes for most all demographics, except for maybe Jainists.

This. ^^^

Look at the bat **** crazies out of Kansas (sadly enough).. the Phelps'. They in NO WAY represent an entire religion because THEY happen to be nuts. It takes all kinds of crazies to do sickening and perverted things like this.

That poor child. :(
