Did God Have a Wife?

LOL - that explains all the parthenogenesis!

Damn, I had to look that up. As the term is somewhat related to getting women pregnant, it stands to reason men don't know what the hell parthenogenesis means. As long as we can't catch it, you know.

Why would God create someone who would come stay at the house for weeks at a time and needle God's wife with questions and comments like:

How many weekends a month does God fish?

You know you could have had a much nicer car if God hadn't have spent Universe knows how much on a big ass double cab, 4x4, diesel F-350.

Is there a reason God keeps those old holy shirts? They're disgusting. He looks homeless. You should throw them out when he's a work.

yes it is against monotheism ,ditto

especially when we know judaism is the first religion that claims the unity of god

"monotheism" (chuckle)

There is only one God!! The problem comes in deciding what he's wearing!

(cough); "pass me the beer nuts" . . .

I thought God was a being of energy not a singular, gender specific human. I think the heavenly Father is a symbolic figure head for frame of reference and just one of many manifestations of the omni.

Freud purports that God was made male and deigned a "father figure" because of the underlying Oedipal complex present within all men...hence the fear and reverence that prevails in most scripture.

Then again, Freud thought everything had to do with the Oedipal complex.

Then again, Freud was pretty much just wrong. Modern psych doesn't take him seriously, right?

Digsbe answered the question. The church is the bride of Christ God. The question of a woman married multiple times from the NT negates marriage in heaven (as do a couple other passages). End of story for this sub-forum?

gotta go with paralogic on this one

Thanks.

There are some realities that don't need an extensive, academic, mathematical, formally logical proof.

wow 59% of evangelicals would rather commit the sin of lying than admit they masturbate, interesting

in fact ,according to bible, he has a son having no father ,so we can say god cant have a wife ,from christian point of view.

i think i am confused a little ,we may also think if he has a son,he may have a wife too:confused:

If god has a son, but no wife, then he is the head of a single parent family.
If god is perfect, then the single parent family is the perfect arrangement.

No, god must have a wife (or perhaps a husband).
